****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

With Touchwiz? if so:
go to apps draw, press menu -> edit
Then locate the Handcent icon in the apps drawer bit and drag and drop over the messaging icon, seems to change it on mine...

Out of curiosity how do you rate the speed compared to the Desire, I came from a magic so it's massively quick, but the Desire is hardly a slouch really?

Thanks, desire is good on custom roms, i really have to play with this a bit more, but going from app to app it smoother i think.

Now off to root!

ive come from a hero so i could not use htc sync to put all my contacts on the galaxy, so i exported contacts then uploaded them to google and now they are all on my galaxy, however i just want them on my galaxy phone and not on google. i know i can export the contact list onto my sim card but is there no way of putting them onto the phone memory?

also is there no way of starting with a clean scheme, like with my hero i could choose a blank scheme then populate it

Am I right in thinking that the buymobilephones deals end today? As that's what it said on the link to the tmobile deal where the phone is ₤19.99. As I might cancel my contract and pay the 40-50 quid to do this and then use quidco to get ₤30 off.

It won't end. It's a phone company. Take my word for it. I bet tomorrow at worst you see the same deals. At best a better deal.

Definitely enjoying my experience so far, although it would be great if I can get rid of or replace that O2 startup shutdown screen that comes with it :p

Still kind of split between using the bog standard TouchWiz or Launcher Pro. I don't mind TouchWiz but... is there a way to sort the apps in the Application drawer? It seem ever since I started downloading apps they're all over the place... and I don't really want to rearrange them manually =/

no that would in effect use other networks for internet if yours was out of range.

Don't think that's an issue within the UK. My 3 data often roams into other networks and the data come out of my allowance. 3 have network agreements for coverage, if you roam into an area with a partner it just connects. No partner, no data connection as far as I'm aware. The other networks are the same I believe. Its when you go abroad including Ireland that you can get silly charges.
