You also get the O2 Arena as a stock wallpaper. I'd like to remove that, and will just as soon as I figure out how to change wallpapers, auto-running applications (I do not need Finance, FFS), copy files from PC to device, add new ringtones...

PS: Any help on this will be appreciated - this is my first smartphone.
 
How do I know if I am on the internet properly? Its running very slow, I can connect to Wifi fine which is fast but how do I know if I am connecting to my o2 data usage when i'm out and about.

When you're on data the letter corresponding to your type of connection will display next to your signal bars. Eg. H for HSDPA

You can also see by just disabling your wifi, once you do that it'll default to your data connection and as a result display your type of connection. Alternatively go into settings then phone status, your connection type and signal strength will be displayed there.
 
The connection icons at the top are meant to be green if you are connected to Google aren't they? Cant think why mine are still grey internet is working fine

Okay I went into settings / wireless and network / mobile networks and hit Use packet data off or Data roaming off or both. I feel like such a noob should both of these be on? Also data type seems to be GPRS.
 
It's the software on which the phone runs mate, the OS (Android 2.3.3) modified with Samsung's TW GUI, their optimisations and their bundled applications. Newer versions will have performance tweaks, bug and security fixes and may bring new features.
 
Okay I activated Use packet data I guess this is correct for the internet to be enabled? Should I enable data roaming? Wish there was a proper manual :(.

Orly. Where did you access that?

[EDIT] If you mean face recognition in the camera options, we aren't talking about that. We mean using face recognition to unlock the phone, something that seems to have been removed, or at least, removed in this current software release.
