My O2 PAYG tracking is still showing the following so I guess I won't receive it until Thursday?

Parcel data received awaiting coll. 03/05/11 LEEDS SERVICE CENTRE

ive come from a hero so i could not use htc sync to put all my contacts on the galaxy, so i exported contacts then uploaded them to google and now they are all on my galaxy, however i just want them on my galaxy phone and not on google. i know i can export the contact list onto my sim card but is there no way of putting them onto the phone memory?

also is there no way of starting with a clean scheme, like with my hero i could choose a blank scheme then populate it

This is exactly the change I'll be making (my new phone's at home with my parents. I am not. Want to cry!). How are you finding it except for the above issues? All my contacts are in Google anyway so this doesn't really bother me.
 
Im loving it, the screen size makes it easier to type than the desire, its very responsive.

Still not sure on touchwiz but its a change from launcher pro which ive had on my desire from day one

I'm used to Sense, so hopefully I'll be able to get on with Touchwiz. If not, I'll give Launcher Pro a whirl. Can't wait :D
 
for anyone interested i bought mine on an o2 contract from o2 in sheffield city centre and its locked to o2

also is there a way i can transfer my gamesaves from my defy to this?

the best thing about it for me is the speed and screen so far(only had it a few hours) even tho i had quick custom firmware on the hero and it was clocked to 748mhz, the galaxy's running circles around the hero in terms of speed.

screen is a awesome, so so much easier to do things on a bigger screen, and if you are into vibrant colours like me you'll love it even more.

one more thing ive noticed, i was thinking the wireless signal was pretty crap because i can be less than a metre away from my router and the galaxy would be at all bars except one, moving hands away from certain areas of the phone puts it back to full but it didnt look all promising. so i did the test i do with all my portable wireless devices...go into the kitchen where everything usually gets one bar of wireless, the galaxy too got one bar(or should i say dot because thats the shape of it), even tho it was on its lowest bar im not joking the pages just flew up, i was truly gobsmacked. my hero was dead slow in the kitchen.

other than that my hands are aching because im used to the hero's small size, but im sure my hands will adjust.

try the 'speedtest' app off the market - I use that to test the speed of the connection from different parts of the house.

Mine is saying the same, but its next day delivery, on tracking many other items the usually are in the Uk Mainland hub (belfast here) before doing a lot of shipping to the local hub, by morning its out for delivery.

Not a guarrentee, but its has been my experience with most delivery companies..does a lot of traveling in the night :)

The SGS does 720p but yes it's also very good, better than most camcorders that label themselves as "HD".

I do quite a bit of documenting with the photos for the reports we produce on Urbexing as a lot of the places are dark:

Having to carry one less device is always a bonus :)
