****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Well mines going back in the morning, found a stuck pixel on grey/black smack bang in the middle of the screen, now ive spotted it its enough to annoy me. Other than this excellent phone

I love this phone for playing back my full 1080p videos with high bitrates!

I did flash to KDF and seems you have to re-root again!

Still got the yellow triangle now so still need to get rid of that.

Yep, re-root same method. You can probably get rid of the triangle by flashing the stock KDF kernel back over once the root files are copied across.

Wow voda has surpassed themselves this time. They have pulled the SGS2 from the most popular page and have replaced it with the HTC sensation which is now available..eh! How the heck can HTC Sensation beat the SGS2 for release?
Poor show very poor show indeed from voda.

Can anyone with an SGS2 tell me how good the audio recording is for 1080p/720p videos? It seems to sound lower quality than the G2x but no one bothers to speak in any of the videos so I can't really be sure. I can't judge from traffic noise either. ;) What ambient noise I do hear doesn't sound too pleasant.

Mines due for delivery today (hopefully):D
Seems like i've had samsung i8910 for ages, but by far its been the best phone i've had.

Guessing that's because Vodafone have a 2 week or so exclusive on the Sensation iirc, I doubt they'd want to have the SGS2 out and nicking sales from the Sensation from people who are determined to stay with them?

Personally I couldn't get away quickly enough, got my number transferred from Vodafone to Orange last night, now just to pay off the remainder of my contract and imprint on my brain never to use them again :p

Out of curiosity, what's so bad about Voda? I've had to switch to them due to no other network providing coverage in an area i go to a lot. They seem ok so far, good communication and very good signal wherever i've gone. Much better than Three were *spit*

For me it's still showing the Galaxy S II, but the HTC Sensation has been removed from the "coming soon" list (and is not in the currently available section).

Mostly coverage, they were just about adequate at home (could hold a phone conversation, but data wise got around 10-15kb/s) but could not get a signal at work, also out and about at friends/family places it was fairly constantly crap. Admittedly not the most heinous of crimes but hey :p

They also annoyed me when they decided to change my billing date for no reason what so ever, especially as moving it from a perfectly nice time at the beginning of the month to around the 25th was apparantly designed to make my life easier, well if I wanted it then maybe I would've asked for it then, and of course they couldn't keep the existing billing date.

So yeah, not exactly the worst service but they never did anything to help me and provided, for me, a poor service that effectively made my smartphone useless. O2 gave me years of good service (including being able to change my billing date when I asked them), and Orange at the very least give far better signal so far than Vodafone.

As so mostly the same issues i had with Three then, just a lack of coverage where they promised it. Fortunately i do indeed seem to get good signal in all of the places that matter for me so i'm happy enough.

At least Voda haven't had some indian call-centre try and sell me phone insurance yet like Three did.

Dodging £6 billion in taxes was enough for me. Think of every service your local council is about to cut - libraries, bin collections, schools. If Vodafone paid their taxes, you'd still have them.

Update for those with tracking trouble from Buymobilephones.net.

I just got off the phone with them and apparently they had that many orders the courier couldn't take them all. They assure me it'll be delivered tomorrow.
