Maybe samsung shipped with the firmware that the orange network doesn't like so they're pulling the shipments?

Exchange has been delayed (Mobiles fobbed me off with apparent system issues), but as they use the same stock system, I decided to check, and no stock in any of our web/telesales channels
They aren't raising the exchange as they can't if there is no stock to exchange it with.
Also made the mistake of comparing my "white" screen to a colleague's iPhone4, mine looked really blue and washed out. Dammit!

Spoke to them yesterday and the guy said the wednesday stock date may slip to friday or monday of next week. personally not expecting to get mine from them til late next week... if it arrives earlier then it'll be a nice surprise /english mode off

I didn't send mine back in the end for the buzzing earpiece problem. Glad I didn't now as the new firmware seems to have solved that and wifi seems improved too.
I phoned mobiles.co.uk yesterday lunchtime to double-check that they had stock, as I don't trust the websites and they told me that had stock. So I said so you definitely have stock if I order it today, and she said yes we had a delivery today.
So in future I don't think you can believe anything these companies say. Either they tell you want they think you want to hear to get the sale, or they just don't know, and blindly follow what the website tells them.

I've found out something horrific about the official vented hard case!
Today I took the case off and noticed a very pretty polka dot pattern on the back of my phone! It was indeed the dust that had settled in the vent holes and rested on the phone
This might be a bit of an issue lol. Will see what the Nillkin hard case is like and decide on which I want to keep as the primary case.

My case mate barely there arrived today, not sure I like it tbh.... still has a slight lip, and still won't fit in my dock with case on!

That Nillkin hard case looks almost identical to the barely there case from what I can see, save for the logo on the back!

The barely there one I thought was still quite thick, felt thicker than the Samsung one anyway while the Nillkin one looks a bit thinner than the Barely there so fingers crossed!
Looks like they aren't passing that message around their advisors, as I had an email response yesterday
I guess there is a major shortage all round, so I won't be tempted by Vodafones offer of adding one as on a new line to my wifes' account, especially given how naff their £25 per month deals are compared to the T-mobile one I hope to get.

I called yesterday and they said they had stock that had arrived that day.
I called again today to be told they had 1500 units that had been shipped back to Samsung due to faulty software.
Next stock due in at the end of the week or early next week.
What did you go for black or white??
