And only Nokia by the looks of it. I don't know any other phone that does that so if it;s a must then you're stuck with Nokia.
My blackberrying does it.

I've just discovered a disappointing 'feature' of the SGSII - the alarm doesn't work if the device is powered off. Argh!
Have I missed an option somewhere?
Because that is a standard feature on Nokia phones.
In case you haven't noticed, you purchased a Samsung and not a Nokia

I doubt someone not too clued up on phones who has always used a Nokia is automatically realise that Samsung/Android phones don't wake up to ring the alarm.
Any more pedants around? I'm here all day.
im thinking to upgrade from a blackberry to this phone
anyone else made this move and have any feedback ?
I am looking for a good satnav/map application for off road walks. I would like to use this map, obviously, on GS2.
And as usually walks will take place in some remote locations without 3G i would like to have good set of detailed maps preloaded on my phones dedicated SD card.
Do you know any app worth recommendation?

Just got off the phone to Mobiles to cancel my order and the guy said that the stock they received yesterday had to be recalled almost immediately because of faulty software.
I went.from a 9700 running os6 to this and it was a massive upgrade. Going back to it feels soo small and old. You won't regret it.
viewranger would be my recommendation - you do have to pay for the maps (os explorer / landranger) but there's been a few times in the middle of dartmoor when the fog has come in where I've been VERY grateful for having it.
obviously it has no reliance on phone signal and all maps are stored on the sd card.
No. If you'd bothered to read my post you'd notice I said that if they were blocked, you could still get the money back which you paid for them, as they still work abroad and can even be unblocked by those with the correct kit. I got my iPhone 4, Dell Streak and, for that matter, every phone apart from my work phone in that way, usually practically half price and unlocked. None have come up blocked, so I'd say the people who pay RRP are the ones that are nuts.3-400 for a potentially nicked phone?
Are you nuts?
