****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

It has reported battery drain issues sometimes (though I haven't had this problem) and that 5 second rule delay thing seems to happen quite a lot. Sometimes it doesn't seem that responsive either and it takes up extra resources.

It's good but far from ideal.

I've had no problems with it in all this time...

I don't use a lockscreen any more though so don't mind either way now.

No Android phone has battery % out of the box in the notification bar. If you want this being shown then install a widget or bar indicator free off the market.

Reboot may be an app you have that's not working right.

I must be lucky and have the best made gs2 ever, not had one crash/lockup/ remove battery in the time I had it 6 weeks now, widget locker works faultless.

In fact I can say also I had not one force close problem its the best I seen android run smooth all the time.

I haven't had any issues with the phone itself either, as I said, widgetlocker 'seems a bit dodgy', that isn't to say its bad, it's quite fine, but I don't use it.

You have to admit though, the TouchWiz lockscreen is just absolutely horrid... I honestly can't see why Samsung can't just copy the iPhone lockscreen, they did with a lot of other things :p

The stock browser plays up a bit sometimes, I mentioned it earlier in the thread.

ive had none of those problems to be fair but the 5 second delay apparently only happens when you hit home-power-power or unlock it then lock it within 5 seconds...like the instructions say, either dont do this or try one of the fixes like Root helper in the advanced menu on widget locker (if you are rooted).

since its an android related feature this will also presumably happen with any other lockscreen as well.

It's Android, if you're unwilling to try a better alternative to something stock then you should have gotten an iPhone or something!

- Phone stops playing music (randomly sometimes) when the normal lock screen is used
- Lock screen is laggy

does it stop playing randomly in the middle of songs or when starting a new one? i found there was a few songs i had which didn't fully download (got to 99%) but played fine on all music players except the default one which would stop all mosuic when it got to them rather then skip. perhaps this is also what you get?

the lock screen lag is meant to be there afaik. samsung added it to save battery by dumping stuff whilst the screen is off so it needs a second to get it back. annoying but battery saving and i don't notice it now

I dont want to "try" a different lock screen i paid my money for this, its like buying a Ferrari but it doesnt work properly so you take a bloody Mini instead.

give over, other lockscreens are better anyway. there is no logical reason to stick with the stock software if you are having issues and there are better alternatives.

Quite! There's nothing much left that's stock on my phone and it's better for it.
