I have just looked at the new htc range and I am not really impressed. If I am going to be locked into a 2 year contract then I would want a much better phone than the new htc line up.
So S2 is looking like the one to have !
Yeah I saw that as well. So i went to the Samsung site to check and there was no mention on it there, unless they intend to make more variants.

Orange have a pretty good relationship with Samsung, I would expect us to be a launch partner at the usual "High End but not iphone" price which the desire HD sells at. These are my thoughts, not my companies etc...

strange about the HDMI output, the review states it has one, but no pictures, im wondering if they made a mistake. im sure Samsung would say and use as a selling point? be an added bonus if it does have HDMI out though
If you look at the Samsung web site it does not show HDMI connectivity in the promotion. It lists bluetooth wi.fi but no HDMI

According to another site I've read the press release is saying it has a multi usb port (ie it can send video too) but the website doesn't. The website also has some things that the press release doesn't....
I'd say it's likely got the capability, it would be stupid to not have something like that even if it does need an adapter cable

Surely the video out over USB and 3.5mm jack will just be s-video, not HDMI spec?

So when is this roughly expected? Somewhen in march? I need to cancel my three contract because i dont get signal at work after orange roaming was turned off. I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S but it makes sense to get the SGS2. Three tell me i have no cancellation charge and il have 30 days from when i request the PAC Code. Just wondering if i should cancel now and line up a PAYG phone for a bit or just wait a few weeks then cancel ready for a new phone / network.

That lead was never compatible with the SGS - it's for some other Samsung product. Around July last year someone ran a story about it coming out for the SGS and everyone seems to have gone with it. Nothing materialised.
I did the same Googlefail yesterday until I looked a bit further.
