****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Yes :p

I think business users will be quite interested in it too judging by the Enterprise features Samsung has put in:

Such a shame about the lack of HDMI output though, I looked forward to putting a movie on the phone, going round a mate's house and watching said HD movie on a HDTV...

You have mates without a HTPC or a TV that can play from a storage device?

I expect they will release a HDMI cable for this phone anyway, they did for the old Galaxy S.

EDIT: hmm seems it was never released.

Less sarc, perhaps you didn't read back a page, I was just adding to Robboftw's post about why the SGSII is going to have a longer lasting battery than the SGS.

No sarc mate, just commenting on a lone comment without a quote.

Only one of my mates has a HDTV connected to a HTPC. In total I know of 2 people, one of them is myself :p Everyone else just watches bought/rented blurays on their HDTV or whatever.

Not everyone is as up to speed with connectivity like most of us here are :)

Also, what TVs can play an MKV straight off a storage device? I don't know of any that do it out the box without having to go through some kind of media player box first! - In that situation a phone like the Optimus 2x with HDMI mirroring coupled with Vplayer/Rockplayer would come in quite handy!

At the moment it's a case of taking an ION netbook with you for connectivity for movies and stuff :p

My Samsung LE46C650 plays MKVs straight from an external harddisk. :p

All the new HTC phones are on pre order at Voda UK along with the Samsung Tab strange why they dont have the SGS2 listed!
