Only one of my mates has a HDTV connected to a HTPC. In total I know of 2 people, one of them is myself Everyone else just watches bought/rented blurays on their HDTV or whatever.
Not everyone is as up to speed with connectivity like most of us here are
Also, what TVs can play an MKV straight off a storage device? I don't know of any that do it out the box without having to go through some kind of media player box first!
