****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

As a side note, while their website is utterly disastrous, i've had a good experience with P4U (so far, touch wood!). The guy who i ordered from over the phone was friendly, precise and, so far, accurate (last thing he promised was that the phone was unbranded and unlocked, i only care about the former anyways).

It also seems that he gave me todays offer, of getting the phone for free instead of £30, even though when i ordered it the old offer from yesterday was still in effect. My order is in the post but the £30 has still not been debited and my confirmation email reads as the phone being free.

Good stuff so far.

Which deal did you go for ?

Which deal did you go for ?

Voda, £29 for the phone and £30/month for line rental for 24 months. As i say it seems from the email i've received and my bank activity that i'm not being charged the £29

I'm stuck with Voda due to coverage issues before you point out that there's cheaper deals on other networks :p

Sorry for the double post but, i've just noticed that there's guides to rooting this phone up on the net already. I know nothing about homebrew on Android but surely this is a good sign for the future of homebrew on this phone?

mobiles.co.uk and buymobilephones.net got some good deals on voda !!

None of their offers are notably better than what i've got.

Mobiles.co.uk want 99p more for the phone (or possibly £29.99 more by the way things are looking) so their offers are actually worse than P4U (marginally)

buymobilephones, yeah they only want £20 for the phone, but the contract is identical.

It's in the post now anyways and i'm way too lazy to send it back unless something insanely cheap appears in the next week on Voda

Nice pictures, good stuff! :D

I looked at this today in Phones4U, i have decided to wait as the best deal i was offered on O2 was £37, 600 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb of data with £90 cash back and a "free" S2. (or £32 with 300 mins etc and £60 cash).

It felt nice to use but did not feel like a premium phone as mentioned before. While it is very light the back cover feels like a playing card and anyone expecting iphone build quality will be very dissapointed.

Aside from that if i could get it for £32 a month with 600 minutes (without faffing around) i would have one now.

As O2 seem to be doing some pretty good deals with the iphone i may end up with one of those.....

Well, Vodafone have said I can get it as an upgrade in October if I pay off the remaining contract period fee which should be less than the HTC Desire is worth.

I wonder....

My local P4U has stock but won't sell sim free. I'm going to try again just before they close. They may decide to end the day with a sale.

What they said to me when I popped into my Nottingham branch. Said they've got 2 waiting to be picked up on Contract but 'doubt' they'll sell me one SIM free.

EDIT: Oh and are some of the pictures above small for everyone else?
