Dear Mr rG-tom

Thank you for your email regarding the Samsung Galaxy S2 phone.

May I thank you for your interest in this phone.

Please be advised that I have tried to contact you today regarding this matter, however unfortunately I have not been successful.

Whilst I can appreciate your enquiry there are currently no plans to offer this model as an Orange branded phone. currently it is only possible to obtain the phone via third party dealers.

To check the handsets that Orange offer please go to the following link:-

I am sorry that there are no plans to release this phone currently, however I trust that this information has clarified the problem for you.

Kind regards

Ian

Hi Tom. Sorry for any confusion. We are still intending to release this phone, however, we don't have a date for this yet. ^Darren

Looks like orange don't have a clue when there going to get it so i think i will order from somewhere else now.

Is there any benefit from upgrading or do i just cancel my contract and get new one?

As someone who is a relative noob to smart phones and wants in on the action, can someone recommend me the best deal?

I would mainly be using this for browsing, apps etc so the o2 deals of 500mb usage seems really small?

Confused at which deal to take and length of contract or if I should have any contract at all e.g. Pay as you go.

Help!

500mb is pretty much the average that networks offer, for web browsing and the occasional Youtube video it's more than enough. People who need unlimited are typically those that rely on tethering a lot/stream radio and TV often.

Tried twice to order a contract one via the O2 website, keeps failing at the very end after putting in my Secure Code. How annoying.

Check your card with the bank, I had a security block put on mine, was told on the Phone they did it as procedure cause of the PSN leak...was told its highly unlikly but that they couldnt sit back and do nothing, to card and high spending sensativity has been turned WAY up.

Made 4 attempts before I did this.

Yep, they phoned me just now while I was having lunch and asked me about it. I said it was fine, so they said to just retry it...which I'm about to do. :)

Just ordered an S2 on o2. Failed to go through first time, but second time worked out.

Went for £13.50 24 months, 50 mins, 250 txt, 100mb internet. Phone cost £150. Checking my phone bills the last year I've barely used that amount. £90 cash back via quidco hopefully. Bringing the total over 24 months to £374 (£15.6 p/m). Bargin!

Quite looking forward to the switch to from iOS to Andriod. I hate apple with a passion.

After cancelling my buymobilephones.net order, I've gone with O2 on a 24 month contract; it's only 50 mins, 250 texts and 100mb data for £13.50 a month but I'm not going to actually use this sim, so I'll cancel the 100mb of data reducing it to £10.50 a month after the first.

Handset: £149.99
Contract (total): £255.00
Accessory: £7.99
Quidco: -£100.00
Total cost: £312.98

I'll be whacking in a giffgaff sim so this definitely looks like the best deal for me.

Kinda interesting that O2 seems to be coming out tops dealing with them direct from all the Hot Deal websites etc.
