****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Will post about that tomorrow after a day at work as I use HSDPA only there and battery drain is higher so will be good to compare.

So far though it's better than AOSP/AOSP (expected) due to kernel and ROM maturity.

Yup.

It's one of the features I've always gone on about but I still don't think many people know of its existence or importance until they actually start using it and realise how awesome it is.

Ok, I didn't even know this existed. How do you use it and where have they hidden it!

Maybe this is where I've been going wrong lol, when I've been saying I get OK battery with naff all screen time its because I don't bother with wifi, even when at home.

Yeah wifi uses less battery as the network radio sits idle not using data.

Zpos, just copy anything to clipboard in Android and then when you want to use the clipboard just long press a text box am choose clipboard.

Haha after using my phone this morning, seem to have some promising 'projected' results. Currently at 75% battery after 6hrs, with 1hr32 screen time, so that should be 6hrs screen time over 24hours, which is much better than previous kernels/roms. Shame the latest Hydrogenics (27/04) comes with Netchips Kernel that doesn't have Lulzactive. Found some good results with the app from the market.

I downloaded that program and the firmware it recommended, but kies was saying it was not able to upgrade it :(

I tried another f/w from xda-forums and it isn't even listing it's firmware in kies.....

gahhhh

I had that problem too. But the Generic XEU version of XWKE7 on the xda-forum worked fine.

This is what was on my phone when i flashed a custom rom for the first time, only reason i didn't go with it straight away was because the download was so slow, took about 2 hours

Updated to LP7 via Kies just fine.

I am having really good battery performance on my stock rom..

It was light usage, checking emails and facebook from time to time. I had been turning Data Off and only turning it on when I wanted to check my stuff.

Anyone got a bluetooth keyboard and mouse working with their phone? Can anyone recommend a good one for it?
I've spent 2 days looking and i'm no closer as their are so many mixed messages on the interweb :(

Using Sensation 3.4 rom, battery on that is pretty good. Yesterday i managed 15 hours between charging, with 1 hour 50 minutes screen on time at 50% brightness, and still had 60% battery left. Also had music on for about half an hour whilest driving without the screen on.

Screen on time was probably half browsing the net, the rest games, facebook, emails, and text.

I was connected to wifi for about 12 hours though as i pretty much spent the entire day in the house due to the weather.

I've mine hooked up to an 11ft HD screen- Samsung Galaxy S2 + MHL Cable + Bluetooth Mouse & Keyboard + HD Projector

The Keyboard and mouse are 'HP TouchPad Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard' & 'A4Tech Mini Bluetooth Mouse'

Wee demo -

In fact, they're both for sale right now.

Why do people never post the most important screen for battery life? :p

Screen on time and brightness :p

Was thinking this myself, will do screenshots of everything when I get to the 3hr screen on mark, not far off.

Also have to say the maturity of roms/kernels is awesome, used my phone as a sat navigation yesterday for about hr and 1/2 that would have practically killed my old iPhone 3gs and on the old 2.3.5 roms on this gs2 would have taken a hefty chunk probably about 60%, but 35% for the whole journey. Obviously GPS, data and screen on, crazy results in my opinion.
