****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Is anyone having problems with the GPS since upgrading to the latest official firmware or, more specifically, having problems with the GPS in Endomondo? It seems to be missing off the first half mile of a lot of my journeys since upgrading, but still counts the time that passed.

I wait until the GPS shows as locked on before i start, yet it doesn't seem to actually track me for a little while.

Does anyone find the browser scrolling in Samsung ICS roms to be a real pain? Scrolling up and down is impossible (when zoomed in) without it going sideways as well.

Hydrogenics is much better, as was Checkrom.

Might give Slim ICS a go, as much as I love Hydrogenics, I just don't think it's as smooth as it could be.

Any one had any experience with it?

And Benjo, I wasn't really sure what that was, it went over my head a little bit, so I used it anyway :D Seems to be working fine whatever it did.

Different kernels and roms are mounting the /emmc/ and /sdcard/ the other way round. I found the latest Hydrogenics and Siyah mount the external sdcard as /sdcard/ instead of /emmc/.

I think thats what's going on anyway :p

I have noticed the newer releases of Hydrogenics have decreased in smoothness quite a bit, I just restored my Wanamlite backup for example and there’s a noticeable increase in smoothness especially in transitioning windows and dialogues.

I’m using Shun 0.9 kernel too as the OLED backlight has been improved with more steps so brightness gets lower and as you drag the bar there are more increments. It’s also go the Siyah tweaks in.

Just got my Galaxy S2, My search payed off.

Managed to find one on Ebay that was brand new and locked to o2, I thought the NFC logo on the screen cover was a give away that it had NFC.. and it does :D

Future proofed I hope! I couldn't wait any longer for the Galaxy S3, and the price etc etc would all be too much for what is a farmers phone :o

Just remember you have the i9100P! :) Someone on here posted that it's slightly thicker than the original i9100 so some cases and stuff don't fit. Some roms might not be compatible too.

Im sticking with CM9 nightlys for the time being, feels smoother than HydrogenICS and no different to WanamLite 11.3.1 or which ever I tried on sunday.

Yeah I would have stuck to CM but the rolling compass issue isn't fixed yet and the latest Hydro/AOKP releases have the issue now as well.

Not tried it no but I'm restoring back HydrogenICS from 31st March as that build was always good for me on speed and battery life although I'll be using Shun kernel. Also compass sensor worked then too.

Auto Brightness. Heavy use yesterday, Data ON all day and Wifi on the evening. Lots of phone calls and texting.

How much ?

Does anyone elses phone need a battery pull when trying to reboot or reboot recovery after flashing a new kernel?

Last time I was in CWM I had that issue (hitting reboot system would just dump me to the hat(?) logo and nothing would happen forcing me to pull the battery).
Kind of worrying!
