****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

ok cool - I want to flash more than 1 mod - do I do one at a time then reboot or can I flash them 1 after the other in CWM then reboot at the end?

I'd do them one at a time. Just in case one of the mods doesn't work. Personally I think you'd be better off flashing a custom rom such as wanamlite or neat rom.

They are deodexed roms but still completely stock in terms of features & will cause less hassle than standard stock ones when it comes to mods.

I'm happy with it as it is really - just messing about. I have posted on that xda thread to see if i can flash those mods on a stock odex rom. cheers Mattey1.

Mattey1 - If for any reason the mods don't work is it just a case of restoring my Nandroid backup and that's it - all exactly back to how it was just before I installed the mods?

Or do I have to flash the stock rom (lp7), then flash the theme, then restore nandroid?

Just a case of restoring your backup :)

Sorry if this has been answered before..

How do you make picture thumbnails visible when connecting via usb?

In Gingerbread, ticking USB debugging fixed this for me but it's not working in ICS

For those complaining about Facebook

Just go into the settings within the app and turn off "messenger location services".
Mine went from:

Also love being back on Hydrogen-ICS:
Full brightness for screen on, might try and test it with minimum and see just how much more I get out of it.

Okay I tried to root my phone, it failed :p. apparently my method only worked until 2.3.5...
Any easy way to root it now it's on 4.0.3 ?

Also when I just try a factory reset, it says ''first remove samsung account'' and doesn't do anything :(.

Yeah, I ended up just disabling satellites, but I wasn't aware of this setting. Thanks, will see if it makes a difference.
I am getting similar screen on time as you (granted I have auto-brightness on, not max), about 3 hours seems about right. Are there people on here who easily get to 4 hours then on the standard battery?

3 - 4 hours seems to about the norm with ICS, which is plenty enough time on a phone for one day! (Of course there are exceptions)

Hmm, strange, I'm looking at the standard battery icon at the top right of the phone and it looks like it's almost full, like around 85% or so, but it's apparently at 65% according to both the phone information and a battery widget.

See?

Cheers.

Mattey1 - Soo now I'm rooted and themed, what happens with official Samsung ROM updates - I'm guessing I can't just plug it into Kies and update?

I have to find the lastest ROM off xda and flash usuing Odin?

Yeah pretty sure Kies is a none option now you are rooted. Could be wrong though.

That is one choice or you could find one that has been zipped up & install through CWM.

How are you acheving that? I'm on HydrogenICS but barely get 2hrs screen on before battery gives up.....(100% brightness too).

Cheers. If I do either - will my root and theme/mods remain? or do I have to flash them again?
