****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

I have something weird going on, every now and again the battery will drop from 40% or so right down to 13% or so

Cheers. If I do either - will my root and theme/mods remain? or do I have to flash them again?

Root should remain if you do it the CWM way, Odin though it'll revert to stock completely.

Mods & themes are dependent on framework etc some cases they will work but sometimes they need modifying to work with newer firmwares. Vert is pretty quick at getting the theme up to date on the newer firmwares though.

I got an S2 a couple of days ago, been great for the most part, except it seems to randomly turn itself of sometimes, happened 2x since I've had it, it was flashed to a really poor leaked ICS ROM for some reason but I've put the official ICS on it, just wondered if this happened to anyone else if its a defect with the handset or ICS.

I believe that was a symptom of one of the early ICS leaks in December / January if memory serves me right.

However, if that happens after a stock ICS install and wipe, then I would worry!

cheers Mattey1 - what custom setup are you running just out of interest?

I use a ROM called D4 Rom it is based off CM9. It has now been changed to this though: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1580070

I can't be bothered to flash anything new at the moment because everything works nicely, Well apart from MHL but i haven't used that for a while.

Baseband I use NELP3 for three network. Along with v3.2 of the Siyah kernel. Launcher I use is Apex launcher & Weather is Fancy Widgets :)

Looks something like this:

Finally updated to ICS using GT-I9100_WanamLite.DXLP9.V11.5.NO-WIPE.

What I don't get is why the clearly labelled NO-WIPE version has wiped my phone? No apps, contacts, email, SMS... nothing.

Did I do something wrong?

Did you do a full wipe? :p

How are you acheving that? I'm on HydrogenICS but barely get 2hrs screen on before battery gives up.....(100% brightness too).

Yeah, I'm using the extended Anker 1950mah battery also undervolted to ensure the fullest life. Currently going for an 'economy run' almost 2 days on with over 2hrs screen time, nothing special but good to know it lasts.

Anyone seen this before? Was charging it in the car and this message came up.
Never happened with gingerbread. Voltage too high?

Well it's terrible isn't it. Means we can't fully charge the phone in the car. I wonder if there's any solution. I'll have to ask on XDA, there's bound to be an app for it. :p
