While i have no doubt the SD version is better, am really enjoying my S20+ performance and battery has been really good so far. currently sitting on 35% with 3 hours 20 mins battery at 1080p 120hz

That's not impressive at all. I really wanted this phone and I have been holding out for it but I am now massively in two minds and mainly over the battery life reports.

Got an email at 10:30. Says the order/parcel is from "Opia" - confused me at first but after a quick google then it made sense lol

If it might help.. I got my S20 on 10th and submitted the buds claim probably before lunch time I'd say.

EDIT: Got a text too :)

Same date I got my phone 10.03.20 from EE

keep in mind I did take this off charge 1 day ago at 11pm 19.03.2020 I dont leave my phone on charge overnight. I put it on charge an hour before bed and take off until the next day. This is with some light gaming and chrome, twitter and Facebook with some youtube and Spotify. Its matching my HTC U12 for battery what i found was already excellent for my use but this phone is better in every other way from 120hz to the screen itself.

am very happy

I mean what more do you really want? the phone can charge to 50% in less than 30mins if your usage is very demanding.

I am pretty sure every single phone that is released has battery problems. they all get fixed with patches ie battery optimisations.

I disagree with this statement completely. Most phones (yes there are exceptions) come out in a pretty decent state, considering both iOS and Android are mature operating systems. Generally you can look at a phone's battery and have a good idea how long it will last.

I don't game on my phone at all but my battery gets caned when I stream Spotify and use my wireless earbuds whilst at the gym. I really don't want a phone where by I am tied to a charger regardless on how quick it is to charge, I was looking forward to the S20 so much and the larger battery was one thing which was a massive plus in my eyes.

I am currently on an S8 at the moment with a cracked screen and a now growing corner notch (oled has died in the corner) so I am really in need of a new phone. I am a heavy phone user ie I use it a lot for calls for work and friends so a good battery life is pretty high on my list of wants. I love the look of the S20, the camera seems good which is also another high priority and I really like one ui, its just the battery which has me some what concerned.

I guess what would be of more help to me would be average SOT with the phone taken off charge at the beginning of the day and no gaming. Also how much difference is there between the S20 and S20+ in battery life?

I only put my phone on charge this afternoon from 19th around 10/11pm

5 hours 24 mins SOT with over 24 hours off charge time.

At 1080p 120hz, adaptive brightness enabled and adaptive battery enabled - This doesn't change resolution or refresh rate

Has anyone been able to get Google Photos permission to delete photos on the SD card? Getting a bit annoying having to delete them in two places.

Sorry but apple are the worst company in the world for repairs. they will happily charge you £500 for a replacement back glass panel when in fact you can get it done for way less than that. not to mention they are the ones responsible for trying to kill the "right to repair"

Lol, you're asking for it if you ask any of these companies for out of warranty repairs anyways.

Repairs under warranty? Nobody comes close to Apple, nobody.

You're 100% right. I used to absolutely LOVE getting my phone sorted or switched in the same day. Properly amazing.

Still waiting for my Ultra pre-order from EE. After seeing the differences between the Snapdragon and Exynos I am in two minds. I’m not worried about the performance thus, much but more then he battery differences. I am also thinking about potentially just going for the S20+ instead but hear that it suffers from bad battery?

Does the S20+ have the 30x zoom?
