Still excited about this game despite all of the hate I am seeing.

In fact, the hate it is seeing will make the unlocks easier for me to grind when the game is released, so the more the merrier!

The problem with this game now is that it's getting kinda cool to hate on it because of its loot box controversy (for the record its a poor business practice from a consumer perspective in my opinion and I won't partake). So whatever form the game is released in it will be given absolutely ZERO leeway.

Personally, I hope the game sells well, but I hope that the loot box system fails epically. The problem is though that because its implementation costs them effectively nothing (aside from lost sales), then if only a few people choose to 'cheat' with their credit card then its income for pretty much zero product.

Ditto. Have pre-ordered it and looking forward to playing. I have absolutely no intention of paying any money for loot boxes so it doesn't affect me. I would still come bottom of the table in online MP anyway :p
 
Did either of you @Rifte @NewGamer11 play the beta or try the origin trial ? The game is so substandard it's embarrassing.

Forget the loot boxes, the campaign is laughable, the multiplayer (pay to win) has some of the worst designed maps ever and caters to a tiny 20v20 !!
 
20v20 on a triple A title based around one of the biggest franchises that's ever existed in on online multiplayer game in 2017 is a total joke.. that's even before loot boxes and unfinished 6 HOUR single player campaign lol

Yep, played the beta. Just after a bit of mindless pew pew pew tbh. I particularly enjoyed the starfighter mode.

I'll give you that, the space combat was actually fun but the fact people have been able to P2W max their fighters from the off making them unbelievably OP just makes this a no no NO purchase from me... sadly!

Don't worry, when someone has bought all the Starfighter cards they'll be able to turn faster and shoot faster than you can. Just because they've spent money. Do come back to tell us how much you're enjoying the Starfighter mode then?
