**The Official Star Wars Battlefront II Thread (PC)**

I don't get it either, but then I've got a mate who is competitive to the point he cheats at things. Golf and boardgames are two instances off the top of my head.

You're always going to have those win at all costs types. I've a friend who's the same and out of our group he's the one I trust the least, he also has a side to him where he'll always go a step too far when ribbing someone and make it personal/vindictive. Very insecure as well which seems to go hand in hand in people who must be the best at everything.

If there is one thing I cannot stand in online games is campers. Maps so big and they only stay in one area with their team mates.

I play mostly assault before you assume I camp.... But personally when I start out in games I tent to play sniper so I can observe where heavy footfall tends to be, hidden spots etc.... Also I get overwhelmed when in CQB maps I don't know, once I know the map know I smash.

Really enjoying it but damn it can be frustrating.

I can rack up a small kill streak (4 best I have had), but usually its a matter of me killing one, then me getting killed almost instantly. So my ratio is usually 1:1 or a little worse or a little better.

Trying to improve as a specialist because the 2nd tier gun seems so much better.

I need to get better with the space vehicles as well, is there any way to switch to a joystick control mid game when you start in one?

Patch day.

Hi everyone!

As you know, we have made several changes to the game already – but this will be our first official patch.

This first patch is specifically focused on issues we found during the later stage of development, as well as addressing some critical gameplay and user interface problems across the game. We have also made major improvements to our games stability and performance across all platforms to make the gameplay experience better for everyone.

Rest assured, we will focus strongly on improving the game based on the feedback we get from everyone in our community in our upcoming patches.

So, stay tuned, and if you have the time to give us your feedback on our official forums, we really appreciate it!

^^

Great!

The more this happens the more likely publishers/developers will drop all this micro transaction pay to win **** :D

EDIT:

Bet the last guy i.e. the gamer was just dying to say the real reasons "I'm not ******* playing for 6000+ hours to unlock everything and get owned by 12 year old kiddies with access to mummy and daddy's credit card!" :D

I don't want all micro transactions to go.... If its cosmetic I'm all for it!

I love opening loot boxes in the hope that i'l get a rare and sell it on.... Not to mention all DLC and season passes would be free!

So all the news going to governments will likely mean we'll face paying £££ in DLC and season passes instead

Lets hope this gains momentum with our politicians as well.

I liked the bit where he said "it's a trap" but nobody in the audience laughed. smh.

Still enjoying the game but I'm just grinding now. Want to upgrade my assault trooper and Kylo Ren and then I'll do some Starfighter. Because there is no player level matching I can sometimes come mid-table in the scores when I'm playing noobs instead of dead last :p

Season passes and DLC are free? Since when did this happen?

This is a clamp down on predatory practices and rightfully so. it's not an assault on your willingness to spend your hard earned on digital costumes and what not.

If they want to charge more for DLC and season passes, then let them do that. If you can muster a wee bit of restraint and wait, you'll be able to pick them up at a reasonable price, if you can't do that then your there for the taking.

TBH I haven't, and don't plan to buy anything extra for this game. I didn't for the first one either. I do occasionally buy season passes for other games such as BF3 & 4 and The Division. I'd rather have another £5 on season passes than multiple loot boxes.

The dude has been posting on reddit, I'm surprised he managed to keep a straight face saying it when he knew the obvious reference, fair play for it.

I just wish we had a video of how the suits are acting who pushed so hard for this and now has government breathing down their neck because of it, hopefully the backlash will give some momentum into giving gaming back into the hands of gamers and not corporate money men who have been slowly eroding the quality of games for the last decade

EA stated Battlefront 2 would have free DLC and no season pass, but the catch was this micro transaction system that they implemented.

I've never had anything against purchasing DLC (providing it's well made and full of content) nor a season pass if i like the game and the content that comes from purchasing a season pass is again full of content.

I never once regretted purchasing a season pass for BF3 or BF4.

All future DLC is free in SWBF2 yes.

I always saw this as a different financial model to the last game which ironically would have saved most gamers money as they don’t have to pay for dlc/season passes.

Whilst I don’t agree with the financial model nor micro transactions it has saved me £50 over the combined cost of the last battlefront plus dlc.

I think in some respects gamers have shot themselves in the foot with this backlash.
