** The Official WWDC 2012 Thread **

As long as Apple are signing it, yes, you'll be able to revert. Besides, Apple isn't going to force testers to stay on what is essentially a sub-par, unready release if they have problems.

I don't feel the map tiles are great. Infact they feel like a massive step backwards. Zooming into a city centre and you can't pick out major/minor roads. Nothing on the map readability of Google tiles.

This makes me sad.

You can get it on devices without UDID activation. I feel sorry for anyone who paid for it.

Finally decided on a 13" MBA with 8GB instead of a 15" Retina MBP. The portability and weight are more important to me right now as I will be travelling with it 12 miles a day via bicycle.

The reason I sold my 13" MBP is I found it cumbersome to carry in it's hard case a long with books and everything else on my 6 mile each way commute. So the Air makes far more sense for now. Until a 13" Retina is released anyway :)

I am going to make the jump to a 15" retina, christ knows when any stock is about though, wanted it to take on holiday july 2nd for photos etc but looking unlikely.

And...

7.You can install apps without leaving the App Store

Yes!

I should really stop reading MacRumours!

MacRumours
Further fueling speculation of a near-term iMac update is recent confusion in which it was initially reported that Apple representatives had told reporters that new iMac and Mac Pro models would likely be arriving in 2013. But following publication of those reports, Apple press relations staff specifically clarified those remarks to note that only the Mac Pro would be seeing the 2013 update. The assumption related to that clarification is of course that an iMac update is very likely to come sooner than the end of this year.

It has already been over 400 days since the iMac was last updated, and Ivy Bridge processors appropriate for the iMac have been available since late April. Consequently, it seems likely that the iMac will still be receiving an update in the relatively near future despite not making an appearance at this week's conference.

I think I will wait until Mountain Lion and see if a new iMac makes an appearance. Failing that, looks like a MBP + Display. It gives me another month to save up either way! :p

Given the price you're paying it makes sense to spend a bit extra and make it last as long as possible!

Yeah, and the fact its not upgradable in the future means its definitely worth it. Considering this will be my laptop for the next 3-4 years, its not that much.

I umm'd and arr'd about this for a while and then went the other way. I wasn't looking for anything bigger than 13" (without good reason), and the weight of the previous generation MBPs put me right off anything other than the Air. Thing is, I'm itching to get into iOS development and for that screen real estate is very important to me.. and discrete graphics is always nice to have. So I pulled the trigger on a 15" retina - and then when something more Airy shows up, I might switch to that (if I feel the MBP retina is too bulky).

4th - 10th July is my estimated delivery.

Excited. My first Apple product!
