** The Official WWDC 2012 Thread **

If what is said about the new MBPs is true I will be getting my first ever MacBook. I feel dirty just saying it

Quite a big rumour being dotted around at the moment...

Report: Apple to unveil new Apple TV OS at WWDC, will run on future*HDTV

9to5mac.com said:
According to*a report from BGR,*which cited a “trusted source,” Apple is preparing to demo a refreshed version of its Apple TV OS at WWDC next week. The report also claimed it is the same OS that runs on the much-rumored Apple HDTV that many reports indicate the company is working on. BGR also said Apple is testing a new “control out” API.

Any thoughts? I personally think it's a little too soon to see a whole new Apple TV OS but I guess we'll soon find out :D

I want a MacBookPro not this slimmed down rumoured MBA type laptop. i for one and i wont be alone, require dedicated graphics, DVD if not Blu-Ray drive & ethernet.

I cant see Apple losing its high end laptop market by removing some of those necessities.

The new macbook that is rumoured to be announced is a Macbook Pro. It will have a smaller form, like the Airs, but have all the features of a Pro :)

Yeah i know this, but everyone keeps talking about no ethernet, no dvd drive etc etc to make it like the airs. which in my opinion isn't where a pro laptop needs to go. which is what i was trying to say. didnt come off as intended.

Ahh I see :) Yeah I think they may drop the DVD drive and possibly the Ethernet. I tend to agree though that they should drop them - Optical Drives are becoming less and less required nowadays, and everything is mostly wireless (Especially a laptop). You'll get a nice juicy speedy SSD instead :p

I'd be hugely annoyed if they dropped ethernet to be honest.
