i was hoping to be picking up 16gb of 3600c15 or 16 b die for £100 at this point and instead they are closing on £200 tbh i dont even want a 16gb kit, but you cant get b die sticks that are less than 8gb per stick for benching i just need a lower gb dual channel kit that overclocks really well, kind of like the PSC 2x2gb kits of ddr3 did. 2600 8-12-8 on 1.9v ish with ivy and haswell chips.Yep memory prices are crazy, no signs of them lowering, still seem to be going up.
I am sure other mainboards will improve but memory overclocking wise the CH6 is the champion on that front.
As for a board, the ch6 is the best atm, but i can see it beening surpassed in the near future by a formula or extreme board from asus or maybe a gigabyte soc champion. i would prefer waiting for something like those with maybe a plx chip so i can run 3-4 cards.
