The possible end of Neogaf?

Anyhow one vindicating aspect for the community over at neogaf is they have shown no one is immune or above the law, what they preach is what they believe and what they stand by. Pretty much the entire community stood up and basically told the owner to **** off when the allegations have come out and they have closed down the forums themselves. All the mods and admins left within 24 hours and users boycotted the site.

Hear, hear. I've been browsing and posting on the GAF since about 2011. I pretty much made it part of my daily life, as sad as that may sound. I enjoyed the gaming sub a lot more than the OT sub, although there were a few OT communicates which I liked to follow. I never got involved with the political discussions, but I did get a lot of my world news from there. Overall it was a good place; it's a shame to see it go despite the circumstances.

LOL, erm no... differences in political views/opinions are definitely well tolerated here by the moderation team IME and aside from some minor quibbles the moderation is mostly pretty fair all round in general. Sure the swearing policy is a bit strict at times and sometimes a bit random but meh, family forum and attached to a retail business so probs right to be cautious.

I'm assuming the word relates to snow and the form in which it falls from the sky? Seems you can use it but it will be automatically censored ergo no need for anyone to be banned/suspended for it anymore

Well perhaps you could provide some clarity then - I'm assuming that it isn't acceptable in the Brexit thread in SC for example but it seems that perhaps it is allowed in reference to another poster in a light hearted way in a GD thread? Is that along the right lines-ish?

I always found neogaf to be weird.

Sometimes I didn't believe the people there were "real" with the things they posted.

Nonetheless it had an absolute wealth of information and content that was worth while.

Some drunk girl in a bar grabbed my hand and put it on her chest a few years ago. Am I allowed to now decide that I was deeply traumatised so I can launch a scathing attack on social media and get sympathy points?

Never been on neogaf myself and it does sound like the guy is a bit of an asshat - however the fact that they had consensual sexual relations afterwards makes me wtf a bit. Also what was her fella thinking allowing her to stay in the same hotel room on a road trip? :confused:

She admitted that her relationship with her "boyfriend," at the time was open.
