So I now support club 12, oh joy. Saturday's 3-0 pumping against United in the friendly is indicative of our season to come.

Brechin have got a small squad (only 12 signed so far) and will be looking at gaining 18 altogether with 2 or 3 loan signings and thats to do both the league and reserves!

2 seasons ago Rangers (well b team mainly!) were up at the Glebe for the Charlie King testimonial game. Rangers dominated the game and I'm sure they won by one or two goals.

I can certainly say any team in the lower divisions will be up for the game against rangers so we'll just have to wait and see.

I've already had a Rangers fan phone me asking about tickets etc but couldn't say anything as there wont be any information up about it until tomorrow at the earliest.
 
Will Rangers be allowed to compete in the cup in place of dundee. They are hardly a north east club.
 
Sounds like more muppetry from the SFA for trying to push the oldco 's SPL punishments onto the newco as a condition of SFA membership.

FIFA are now involved in the blocking of the moves of the players who didn't transfer over. Hopefully this will put the spotlight on the way the SFA is run.

Been confirmed by the SFA / SFL that they'll make an exception and treat Rangers as a North / East team since they've taken over from Dundee. Had a journalist on the phone this morning about the prospects of Rangers playing Brechin. Most of the questions were about the famous Hedge which stretches around 3/4 of the ground :D

Saw FIFA sent a formal letter this morning and are expecting an answer in 7 days.

Fully expect the SFA to troll out the "lost in the post" response so the matter isn't sorted for another few months.

Hopefully FIFA have the number of a decent interrogator or hostage taker to force a resolution to this mess as the SFA would rather just not do it, ever, and then point the finger at someone else.

Should be a good match wow the season starts early for us.
 
Just been a piece on the ITV news about the game. The Glebe was looky bonny <3 No doubt there will something on the BBC Scotland news as well? A mate text me to say it was featured on SSN as well. The clubs had a lot of enquiries from both sets of fans so looks like it should be a sell out and no doubt a lot of press coverage.

There isn't 500K!

D&P told Rangers they would give what was left back and show a detailed report on how it was spent, they said they'd have this report by end of June according to rangers, d&p say the will have the report later, this is all.

This is a no news story buy the gutter press who are running out of "headlines" on a slow news day.

how about they start reporting on other teams for a change?
 
had a couple of texts just now saying that the Ramsdens Cup tie between Brechin and Rangers is being moved to the Sunday instead of the Saturday cos BBC Alba will be showing the match on tv :D
 
Oh there'll be a lot of interest in Rangers first game. Who will be playing? What strength of squad? How many? How strong will they be? It'll set a benchmark for the rest of the season.

didn't doubt that. Just so long as the other photographers from the national papers dont set up where i usually sit then there wont be any trouble :p :D
 
It seems that the reason SFA are playing hardball about granting them membership is that Green is still refusing to name some of the shareholders of the newco.

One rumour I've heard is that one of them is Ticketus.
 
NP Deek. Just set Yourself up at principle chief resident local photographer in charge. Get the stewards to turf out any interlopers and sell your shots to the highest bidder.
