On the subject of weird. I dated this girl for about 8 months and she was making a decent amount of money... get ready for it... selling breast milk online.

didn't really bother me. I more found it wild people were willing to pay good money for it.

As said above, I think the thirst out there is real otherwise it wouldn't be a thing. There's also this weird financial domination/deprivation thing going on amongst some dudes which I really don't understand. I'm just surprised that the market isn't completely saturated now.

As you've pointed out. Some guys are just thirsty and there are plenty of thirst traps willing to rinse them for all they are worth and then some. I don't even blame women for it. Classic case of don't hate the player but hate the game... Though I don't even hate the game either. If you're enough of a mug to throw money at some girl online because you think she's attractive and that because you've sent a few quid she may give you some half assed response, you deserve to get rinsed.

I'll occasionally throw a few quid at a Twitch streamer who's playing an instrument or who is very entertaining when gaming, but throwing money at people for bobs and vagene when there's so much free stuff out there is crazy to me - I mean, if you want to see the "girl next door" type then they are all over certain subs.

Paying is mental, especially when it's probably some dude they've employed that's responding to your messages on OF.

I tip my hat to you, sir! :D

It boggles my mind.
I see it as a target for AI.
Because, it's a remote job, that takes no skill, and is only visual.
AI is quite capable of responding to these dudes messages.
AI is capable of generating these woman when only on cam.

You can make the darkest, nicest, kinkiest, wildest **** and undercut the competition.
Of to me seems a massive AI target.
Literally may go back to dudes ripping off dudes!

Personally I can't understand people paying for it. Just can't.

I even get paying for sex. But I can't wrap my head around paying for OF. It's often not even personal.
My thoughts also, I get why women do it but I just don't get why men pay for it, it's not as though you can't find any of this type of material for free on the Internet

It's already happening on Instagram so I wouldn't be surprised if it's happening on OF - although getting uncensored content might be tricky at the moment.

There are tonnes of tutorials on Youtube on how to use AI to make a fake influencer. What a time to be alive. Maybe I need to start a foot fetish AI Insta and quit my job :)

The rat race of the UK, and how hard it is, and how people are always thinking of possible side hustles and frankly just any possible way of making loads more money to try to better their lives....
Yeah I can see why OF is a thing.
It's easy. It's accessible. It's relatively safe, I mean comparatively to working in other roles in the adult entertainment industry like strip clubs, escort services or the porn industry.
The risks are that your future is jeopordized and tarnished in terms of limiting possibly future employment, if you try to have relationships and kids.
But life is about living, and if you start when you are 18 and get 12 years of living amazingly well from it... guess what more and more people are going to choose.

What is really funny is that the ads they put up on X would be completely revealing anyway, if you click on the link to their OF page, the content is then behind a pay wall.

I am thinking, you've already given the farm away in your ad!

Yeah like said. I'd do it for sure.
Maybe I should put on a wig, get into my pink leggings, pop some stuffing down my top and make some content.

Worst bit is.. It might even work! :D

While there will be cases of People posting content and it potentially having consequences they didn't expect. I think most of the negativity is from boomers who can't take it that's things have moved on, attitudes are changing/changed and they are incredulous because people can earn money far easier than they ever could.
Can't see any other reason someone would be bothered what someone else does like that.

Its becoming more and more normal. I don't have a problem with it (I am jealous).
What I do worry about is the mental health of some people paying. They are probably well off and/or lonely men reaching out.

How many people do you know who admit paying for it? None for me.. But there must be more people paying for it than who'll admit it.

I get that but this isn't really new, This could just be an evolution of people who would perhaps see escorts or call phone sex lines if they just wanted that interaction.
I appreciate everyone has different attitudes, but personally I wouldn't be ashamed about admitting if I'd paid for it nor would I judge anyone who said they did to me. It's no different and subscribing to Spotify or something in my small world.

The youngest boomers are 60 years old. I don't think many of them care.

I'm a Gen X (1969) and I think it's funny. Back in my day we would go down the pub with some mates, get smashed, and then find a strip bar. I guess this is kind of the same but doing it in a more lonely way at home, probably sober and without mates. I think we had it better in our day.

Sorry, yes I am using the unofficial version of boomer which basically means anyone over 30 apparently which includes me :D

See it's interesting because I think I would be ashamed to say I'd gone into a strip bar but I wouldn't be ashamed to say I subscribe to whatever. Possibly because I would associate that kind of venue with really seedy people and obviously when it's something like OF, it's very much a solo experience like you said.

Its much more accessible now I guess. Years ago you had to go out, meet someone etc etc. Now anyone can jump on it.

There's a bigger issues around mental health and our online lifestyles.

I'm personally not bothered. It. Doesn't affect me, it's a choice. But it can extract huge sums of money out of mentally vulnerable people. Just as gambling can.

Less and less people are willing to work a normal job in general. They would rather just not work, or do the bare minimum and have a full social life with less stress. Times are changing.
That resonates with me as well and I'm in my 40s - it isn't just the youngsters.

I've spent a lot of time recently working out how I can afford to retire early or go part-time. Feels like pretty much everyone is fed up with the rat race now and I know some of my older colleagues at work feel the same.

So yeah, I do understand why someone would take what they see as an easy option.

That it actually a really important point and not something I'd considered.

There was a thing popped up in my social media the other day about somebody that paid (I think) £20k to give his favourite (!) Only Fans “model” a hug irl.

She was then posting about the great holiday she had with her boyfriend with the money

It’s a sad reflection of modern society.

Yes, it reminds me a bit of that black mirror episode. I think for every extreme case though, there are probably a high number of people who have perfectly normal healthy relationship with this kind of stuff.

Saw that too.
There's a five line between manipulation and free will here.
