The fact men really (I'm sure there's women falling for it also, but lets face it, it's mostly guys) buy into the idea they're genuinely interacting with the person on the screen is depressing.

Part of me has no sympathy, another thinks it's indicative that the platform takes advantage of vulnerable people.

For some reason assuming shes single is the starting point for everything like this. It's a real phenomenon, and is why online women prefer to give the illusion they are single.

I posted a link to an article before of the top female streamers noticing they don't make as much money if the audience knows they have a boyfriend/husband.

I know this isn't on the same level. But when we think of a prostitute we don't assume they are married with kids. If we did many people wouldn't approach them.

To be fair, this is one of the reasons why Bumble changed their matching policy a few weeks back. Leaving it in the hands of women to say nothing more than just "hi" wasn't working for the platform anymore with small talk.

Whichever way you try it, be that phone sex, internet chatrooms, online camgirls or whatever, they're all selling a fantasy.
With that in mind, it's the fantasy, and thus illusion, of a "genuine connection", so I think it's unreasonable to complain when you get exactly what you pay for.

I don't know what Bumble specifically is (presumably a dating site) but has anyone considered that most women don't care to say anything more to the types of men they find on the apps?
Given the sort who seem taken in by Tate and his ilk, I imagine most women would run a mile, if they didn't need the money...

I draw the line at someone else being involved, especially when it's not obvious.

When you're online with 3-4,000 blokes all pinging messages at you and expecting a personal response, there's no way you're going to retain more than two or three of them... and since the majority will be asking the same questions, it makes sense for the chatroom admins and mods (and any other staff) to be ghost-writing the responses.

I presumed it was a dataing site/app, one of the great many out there, so no I don't know every single dating app.... OF is almost unique, although there are a handful of other sites somewhat similar to it, but certainly not as many as there are basic dating ones.

I think it would be a big possibility with webcam businesses. But one of the advantages of OF, and similar, is the women are self traders.

A lot of it is voice these days. It'll be interesting how fast AI moves in to audio.

It already is how many webcam businesses work, especially in Eastern Europe. For some of the live chatroom stuff, yes, but when it gets too busy they instigate the Private sessions. Some are paid for, others are staged to entice viewers to either buy their own session or pay to 'spy' on the secret goings-on.
