The Tesla Thread

butt it's also so different ie. non existent compared to normal dash. sounds like they've dine that, to create mire

Yea, it's annoying when they butt dine that to create mire.

If you can't be bothered to type properly why should anyone be bothered to take what you have to say seriously? It used to be funny, now it's tragic :p

Yes, HIC. Head Impact Criteria, cant score above a certain score which relates to excessive deceleration of the headform.
interesting, they really do think of everything, to maximise every area.

Why would you NOT want a panoramic roof?

They make such a difference to the feeling of space and light in the car.

just seemed an odd choice for a "cheap" car.

How much is it to replace the batteries in one of these? :P

Not to mention the air quality and noise improvements near roads! Imagine how nice it will be some day soon to be stood near a congested main road and it be nearly as peaceful and easy to breathe as out in the countryside.

Most of the noise from modern cars on main roads/motorways isn't engine noise. So it won't make a huge amount of difference.

I think the interior is so cool...it's simplicity is so modern and refreshing. Don't see why you *wouldn't* release an interior like that..

Loads of those charger poles around London at least, but still not adequate imo. They've always got a silly little Gwiz sucking power out of them. Tbh I think these cars need a little back up generator in the boot to charge the batteries in the event of an emergency, as getting stranded with one means you're properly screwed at the moment. And this doesn't mean driving without thinking about a charging point, but getting somewhere only to find it occupied could lead to an awkward situation.

That said, I do hope that the electric revolution continues, Tesla is making some solid progress but I wonder where to next.

And I like the dash, I think it's refreshing to have a car which is fairly simplistic inside. I do however think that there should be a couple of options at least as I can see how others might not like the dash.

Looks like things are moving in the right direction (in some ways at least)... reasonable performance and range given the price point. Not convinced it is something I'd want us to go for yet (due to uncertainty about charge points, reliability etc) but I'll be keeping an eye on how things mature.

Stayed up for the event, really impressed by it. Would be good to know what the actual price will be in the UK after government grants etc.

For me I will wait until release and see my current job status (commuting distance etc). :)

Like others have said I think it's a great step in the right direction for EV's and the interior is really refreshing!

So, you can have this:

Or this:

I know which I would choose.
After the lovely interior of the Model S and X I just think it looks dull, and lazy.

Even the man sat in the car in that shot looks exceedingly unhappy with the interior design. :P

Looks like someone was doing a DIY touchscreen monitor install and just half-arsed the whole thing.

I think the Model 3 shows a lot of promise, but that interior is truly awful. It looks almost like having a gaming wheel strapped to a desktop rather than driving an actual car. No dials/information in your eye line whilst watching the road is a terrible idea too.
