Morning all :)

So, this turned up last week. Ordered Friday, was here on Tuesday.

Flavour great, really easy to build on, build quality is solid. Draw is quite tight but I like that. The only small niggle I have with it is that it does build up quite a lot of condensation in the chimney and the mouth piece, so it feels like it is flooded when it isn't. Still, a tiny downpuff sorts that out in short order.

Compared to other atties I have used (mini nautilus, subtank mini, youde bellus) the flavour is much, much more concentrated which I suspect is a result of the narrower airways. As a direct comparison with the Bellus, the flavour differences are somewhat akin to the differences between neat whisky (heron) and whisky with water/ice in it (bellus). More air means there is much more space around the flavour, if that makes any sense.

Is it worth £120? Definitely.

Opus BT-C3100 v2.2 if you want a good charger.

Should be available on Gearbest for about £24 odd.

Mine should be with me this week.

Failing that the Xtar VC4 but you'll need a decent USB Mains charger that supplies ~2.4A.

I was using my v1.5 yesterday.. and they are a different league to the for mention tanks. I have the roid v4 which is the smaller version of the heron v2, and the flavour on that is even better than the heron v2..

The condensation is likely down to you pulling to hard and the tighter flow than your used to, but a few people have moaned that the air low is too big compared to the v1.5.

There is a v1.5 sytle chamber cap coming out for it as people prefer it... but my suggested build method is either pancake or s wick it, but definitely keep the cotton within the chamber.

Managed to go and pick my snappy up this morning. Simple 1ohm single coil build in it for now. Couldn't be bothered to faff trying to build duals on it

Froz, worth giving dual coils a go, its easier than it looks, just put your first coil leads in and bend the legs in towards the centre of the deck and then upwards, this will help hold the coil while you fir the second one :)

turn the posts so that the c is facing both sides, that way when you pop the coils in the spring the legs will hold them in place.

So they are facing the centre of the deck rather than the outside?

Will be give it ago later, will have to crack the 30awg if I still want to be able to use it on the 18350s

It depends on the size of your coils and how you do your legs, if they are small facing in, if they are wide, facing out... either way, just bend they legs around the posts.

yeah.. so that they facing the centre. Is it the version v1.5 you have or the v1? as there's a velocity style deck coming out for it. I personally think it's ugly with that cloud cap, and I need to see how that deck works with the cloud cap. On the velocity it makes the coils and the slots align with each other.

Its a V1, I haven't tried the cloud cap. Not really an RDA for chucking clouds

Recieved my OBS Crius from Fasttech today, Postage wasn't all that bad ordered on 22nd Jan received on 1st Feb.

Any tips of builds/wicking? Only got 24G Kanthal and 26/32G Clapton atm tho, currently got a 0.3Ohm build on there with 24g Kanthal and it's decent but I know I can do better I was in a rush and eager

Wicking you only want a slither of cotton in the actual juice channel itself. I tend to have a fair amount around the actual deck but if I detect a dry hit I tend to just trim off a little cotton to fix it.

The OBS does not really have a lot of room for coils over a 2.5mm id.. that is unless you go vertical and get creative with the wicking...
I typically build with 25awg SS or 26awg TI.

^there's quite a good video on YouTube on wicking vertical crius coils, looks a fair bit of effort but the end result looks superb - I'll look for the video shortly :)

That might have been handy a few weeks ago lol, i just got board one night and though id give it a go...
Verticals work very well, but it can leak if your wicking is not good enough... the flavour was great though.

I dont know how you guys have the skill and patience to make your own coils. They're like little works of art, where as mine always end up looking like a dogs ********. I'll stick to buying them!
