cheers mate i know i am going to stick with this as i actually enjoy using aping more than smoking a ciggy lol

i dont want to keep buying throw away clearomizer/atties can you recommend a good beginner one mate that will allow me to learn how to properly clean and change the wicks myself .

i need one that will give a good throat hit though and not feel like i am smoking a silk cut lol

The vivi nova is very easy to recoil, but getting loads of throat hit can depend on how you recoil it and the liquid you use.

Sounds sexy, pics when it's done!

Might have to subtly include my vamo in some of my photography while I'm still in Rome. I've seen a surprising amount of people rocking egos with clearos on them while here, so it's nice to feel like I'm not alone vaping on the streets :)

What's your full setup with the Vamo, Devrij? I've just ordered a stainless steel one and would like to know what works well with it. I know I need 18650/18350 batteries but that's pretty much it!

I have several vivi novas, various colours with/without sleeves. I use it in mini mode when I'm at work or on the go (fits nicely in a shirt pocket) and big mode if I'm at home or out all day. Since I discovered the technique of doubling over the legs on my nova coils I've been really happy with them. Seems hot legs were the cause of my problems.

It looks good on a vamo. As said, resistance isn't a big deal when you can change your voltage/wattage. I still tend to prefer a lower res coil though.

It is, yeah. It looks bigger in that pic but I tend to use it in mini mode when I'm out. 18650 means I don't have to change the battery though. An 18350 is usually running very low by the time I leave work so I tend to swap it out for the drive home.

E: gilbert, I would choose AG (what we also call VG, but aqueous glycerin is diluted VG as pure VG is too thick to vape) so you would have your platinum ice (nicotine in a pg base), a bottle of straight PG, and then a bottle of VG (called AG here). Then you are free to mix and experiment until you find your zone. VG/AG is just watered down glycerin, because the undiluted stuff is too thick to vape.

I say non smoker, but I do tell my doctor I use an ecig if they ask if I smoke. After all my worrying about using up all the liquid I brought on holiday, I've still got 25ml of the 55ml I brought down with me 10 days ago, so I used less than I thought I would! I did economise a bit for the first few days, but not for the last week.

Thanks for the replies about being classed a smoker or not. They have been valuable.

I saw my oral surgeon after an operation 2 weeks ago who told me to quit smoking. It was him that mentioned 'steam' cigarettes as an alternative option. If he hadn't said that, I know I'd still be smoking the analogues.

However, I have had one person who I told I was vaping say "So you still smoke then." I was going to explain but couldn't be bothered as he's a bit of an idiot and difficult to reason with. I felt like getting my ego-t out and blowing vapour into his face!

You'll get people like that who can't make the distinction. I try to explain, but occasionally I just have to try to let it go!

Tried to find a "beginners kit" recommendation in the thread, but far too much jargon for me!

I'm looking to get set up, with a device that looks as much like a light saber as possible (Devrij(?)'s kit on the previous page looks awesome).
I'm looking to move over from moderate analogue (10-20 rollies a day), but just want the throat hit, as opposed to the taste of tobacco. I tried a friends e-cig with an apple flavour juice - exactly what I'm after!

Spec me up boys...

I use a stainless steel Vamo with either 18650 (lightsaber mode ;)) or 18350 (mini mode) batteries. On top is a vivi nova (3.5ml).

Apple and other fruity flavours are great, I really like citrus flavours too. Some can be a bit cloying and overly sweet/artificial, but I'm sure some of the other chaps on here will recommend something good for you.

That looks super sexy. But the atties would have to be pretty special because I'm guessing it isn't a 510 connector. Still, it would be very nice for nights out.

I generally vape between 9-10 watts on 2.2-2.4ohm coils, but I'm not sure what voltage that equates to.

Generally PG is the culprit for the dryer mouth, but I don't know if Nic content makes it worse or not. Drinking water is good for you anyway :p

I'm considering picking up a Genny, and I've had the AGI suggested as an alternative to the RSST. Anyone have any experience of both?

I tend to vape at 10w, but it's just preference. The hotter you go, the more likely you are to run into wicking issues so if you are happy at 7 then rock on.

Finally pulled the trigger on an rsst. Time to see what all the fuss is about. £26 is cheap enough that it's worth a go, but the impending frustration is not something I'm looking forwards to.

Really looking forwards to getting all my mesh and wire etc (£12 for an A3 of 400 mesh and 5m of .3 ribbon kanthal ) with my RSST. Gonna spend all weekend screaming at it in frustration, no doubt, but I'm excited all the same.
