Patch installed today, fired it up and saw the new assassination intro. Top notch stuff right there.

Had to turn it off before I spent the rest of the evening on it, though.

I finally got this as I have some spare time, installed 2 DVD's all done - then hit srart witcher 2 bang 10.55GB patch

Well I deleted my Witcher 2 install from steam, and thanks to GOG you can get a backup copy from them.

Using that and no problems at all, seems Steam had this problem where it constantly had to mess up my saved games and constantly reinstall .Net framework when I tried to launch the game.

4ish extra hours plus different paths/endings anyway.

Can the auto patcher for the 10gb patch that comes up after a fresh install from disk be paused or continued does anyone know... ??

Yeah just stop it, it will auto carry on when next launched. I reinstalled mine yesterday that exact way, stopped it and restarted over night.

Just finished downloading the patch go to install and apparantly the source file is currupt.... :mad:

Now downloading from usenet as it's a lot quicker to download than the update..

Can't even get the first exe on GOG backup to run,getting errors,will try the patch-2.bin again to see if that works,which it has done for a lot of players,seems to be common these sort of problems when devs release buggy updates/patches

I have not been able to get GOG to work. I'm just going to download the full Enhanced edition and then activate using my serial from my boxed one. Hopefully this will save having to do the update...

Finally got the patch to install but now i'm getting a horrible stuttering. Running the same settings as before the patch everything at max and ubersampling off. ?

I also get this in skyrim it's not a FPS problem just what is a juddering and not smooth gameplay.... ?

If you also get it in Skyrim, do you get it in other graphically demanding games?

What GPU and drivers do you have?

It's only Skyrim and Witcher 2. BF3 I can run ultra 1080p with 4x AA lovely and smooth...

I have a 7970 with the 12.4 drivers, I have just googled it and found a stutter patch for the Witcher. It seems the card needs to be frame limited to stop the stuttering...

That's rather odd, is it just for your card or all AMD ones?
