That should be fine as long as you don't mind dropping the details to low and disabling a few settings.

You should be alright for medium/low settings I think. I ran the game on High with some Ultra settings at 1080p on a GTX 470.

GTX470 has almost twice the power of the 5770.

Which is why I mentioned medium/low.

Rememeber all you need is 30+ fps for this game to run smoothly

The CPU should be fine in most titles that don't fully utilise four cores.

Yes, its updating to the enhanced edition. I lot of changes made, new intro an extra 4 hours of potential gameplay, new cutscences, music and voiceovers and loads more added to the game..

I can't get used to it and i'm not too sure whether it's just a terrible console port or i'm doing something wrong.

It's not a console port at all.

Anyway, just make sure you use the right sword, silver for monsters steel for humans. Make use of bombs/traps and use signs as much as possible, Quen especially, Aard is incredibly useful as well.

Be sure you pick your fights, don't aggro additional enemies and think ahead, lay traps etc. Also be sure to use block/parry.

It's a very unforgiving game, if you are playing on one of the higher difficulty settings it may be a good idea to lower it until you get to grips with your abilities, unless you are using every resource you will get your arse handed to you, repeatedly, which isn't much fun. However once you do get used to everything it is a VERY rewarding experience.

Time your attacks, prepare before battle and use everything you have at your disposal.

edit: your definition of a console port worries me

Witcher 2 was released on the PC a year before it went anywhere near a console.

When in doubt in anyway, blame the consoles. It's been a common silly trend on this forum.
