Worth playing the Witcher EE now? Or best just wait for new one.

If i play the second will i be lost story wise? Im tempted to skip first as i imagine 2nd will be loads better.

Loved the first game (The Witcher: Enhanced Edition) so will definitely be picking this up on release day - especially now that they've improved combat system and the graphics now looks amazing using the new engine!

Pre-ordered this last month. I absolutely loved the first one once I got it working. This one looks even better, both in story and graphics. This new engine they have looks the db's.

Currently playing through the first one and enjoying every minute of it. Been playing for ages and only a couple of quests into chapter 3. It seems so much better than the bioware RPG's with their obvious good and bad options all the time. Only thing i don't like is all the running around.

I hope the second one has a better spell system as well. They seem a bit boring so far when compared to dragon age.

This game looks amazing. The crappy engine in the first game really held it back IMO. I really liked the whole consequences thing they had in the 1st one, really made me think about my decisions. The cards were also awesome...really well drawn...giggidy giggidy.

I just hope you can pull the camera out like in the first one. I always prefer a tactical viewpoint, although I zoom in on one on one fights.

Anyone know how the fight mechanics work? Is it like the first where you press the button to start assault phases, or is it simplified to more hack and slash? <shudder>

Got further in the first before giving up this time. I want to like it but the engine, combat, loading screens, amount of walking and production values just frustrate me.

I love the books and hope the second can improve on the first

How far in are you before giving up? IIRC, it takes a little while to kick in, then it's just incredible.

Loading screens where almost non-existent in the EE for me.

I've just got re-loaded this baby up again (upgraded it to EE) and for the life of me i cant get the zoom in/out feature using scroll wheel with mouse using the OTS camera to work :confused:

It stays at the same zoom level. If i want it more zoomed out i have to change to one of the other fixed cameras.

Also dont really notice any differences between EE and non-ee versions...hrmm maybe quicker loading screens. Was the EE just a code tidy-up and bug fixer?
