Yep i figured it might be AA related as Rift beta was the same, so have had to use 'let application manage' for it to run.
Quite funny, the girlfriend phoned to say the Witcher 2 has arrived and she was looking through the stuff in the box. Started going on about there being a full game guide included. I basically called her a liar lol 
Didn't realise the The Witcher 2 - Premium Edition came with a complete game guide. Should be nice for a 2nd play through.

Well, credit to Amazon.
After no word from immediate neighbours yesterday I sent Amazon an email this morning explaining the situation and got a reply almost immediately.
New copy shipping out to me today or tomorrow. Let's just hope Royal Mail can actually verify an address this time.

Damn I thought this was going to be the first RPG I'd played for a long time (Baldurs Gate anyone!)
But reading this thread has put me off ! The combat system (which must be a big part of the game) just sounds naff
Theres nothing wrong with the combat. Its perfectly fine.
I thought the point of getting people to sign for it if its left at the neighbours was so they could be held accountable if it went 'missing'

Totally. That, or the postie could have dropped it to the post office in the center of the village. Literally a 2 minute drive down the road and round a corner.
The fact that they didn't even post a card through my door saying "Package @ No. 16", "In blue bin", or whatever means I have literally NO idea where it is.
Tried calling them this morning to see if they have scans on the systems which could give a surname/signature used but literally every option I tried was either automated tracking (which I could do online), or a spiel directing you to go online and fill in a form. Absolutely shocking.

Definately glad I bought the boxed version after seeing that screenshot. A PDF just does not even come close

Is there a way to change settings without quiting the game?
why is this game a jumping off platform for bioware bashing among the community? you know ea is in charge of putting the games on shelves. why do pc gamers think bioware owe them something? shouldn't it be the other way around considering their support for the platform in the past?
Mainly because of the slagging off of it from obvious BW/EA employees.
Huh? you're making it sound like Bioware gifted us their previous games...The pc community are the people who supported the platform by spending money on said games. Bioware aren't the same company anymore. Anyway TW2 is shaping up to be a great game.
