The Witcher 2 - Thread

Anyone else having trouble getting DLC?
I registered and decided to grab the free Troll Trouble DLC but all i get is Connection Error: Retrying in 10 seconds...
Been like that for a couple of hours now.

they moved their server files and are having problems at the moment if you click on the community bit of the witchers homepage it tells you all about it

Quite funny, the girlfriend phoned to say the Witcher 2 has arrived and she was looking through the stuff in the box. Started going on about there being a full game guide included. I basically called her a liar lol :D Didn't realise the The Witcher 2 - Premium Edition came with a complete game guide. Should be nice for a 2nd play through.

OH FOR ****'S SAKE!

So bloody angry right now. Checked Amazon at work and Royal Mail tracking shows the game as delivered.

Get home... no game, no card to tell me where it is, nothing.

Check the online tracking and, yep, it's been delivered this morning. Pity it doesn't give the ******* SURNAME OF WHOEVER SIGNED FOR IT.

Considering the nearest house with the same number as ours is populated by doley scum and their malevolent offspring, it looks like I'm going to be stuck going through the bloody Amazon complaint process to get another one sent out due to Royal Mail's incompetence.

Well, credit to Amazon.

After no word from immediate neighbours yesterday I sent Amazon an email this morning explaining the situation and got a reply almost immediately.

New copy shipping out to me today or tomorrow. Let's just hope Royal Mail can actually verify an address this time.

Mine just arrived from some people called Yodel or something, not the Royal Mail.

Either way, premium edition is pretty awesome.

I thought the point of getting people to sign for it if its left at the neighbours was so they could be held accountable if it went 'missing'

Totally. That, or the postie could have dropped it to the post office in the center of the village. Literally a 2 minute drive down the road and round a corner.

The fact that they didn't even post a card through my door saying "Package @ No. 16", "In blue bin", or whatever means I have literally NO idea where it is.

Tried calling them this morning to see if they have scans on the systems which could give a surname/signature used but literally every option I tried was either automated tracking (which I could do online), or a spiel directing you to go online and fill in a form. Absolutely shocking.

Emm i have a problem, just finished installing and started the game and yet im getting this

Tried switching off ubersampling, AA cinematic depth of field but still getting this.[/QUOTE]

I'm having the exact same problem, no idea what is causing it. Updating drivers made no difference :(

why is this game a jumping off platform for bioware bashing among the community? you know ea is in charge of putting the games on shelves. why do pc gamers think bioware owe them something? shouldn't it be the other way around considering their support for the platform in the past?

Mainly because of the slagging off of it from obvious BW/EA employees.

Huh? you're making it sound like Bioware gifted us their previous games...The pc community are the people who supported the platform by spending money on said games. Bioware aren't the same company anymore. Anyway TW2 is shaping up to be a great game.
