eh wot?

Combat is decent enough, yet pretty damn clunky tbh, much more so than the Witcher 2 was.....so, combat as decent as it is, really isn't the game's strong point.....

The game's strong point undoubtedly for me is the exceptional storytelling, and the cut scenes are central to that.

Yes, the story is good and I am really really liking the game. But the conversation can go on a bit, and the acting is horrible. I can just see why it is not for everyone, I appreciate why some people will find it awful to play.

I enjoy the combat, but it is just very frustrating at times.

Really surprised at just how much I am enjoying this game, as I have found these types of games hard to get into in the past. A couple of months ago, out of boredom, I found myself watching some Witcher video game play and really got into the story. Next up, Witcher 2 and loved how the game progressed with the story. So I picked up both gmes cheap and decided to play. But I have to admit, playing Witcher was'nt as enjoyable as watching it. So, after a few hours gave up. But absolutely loving the last installment.

Not had to many problems, a few crashes yesterday whilst making changes in the Inventory, mouse freezes and had to do a hard reset. The other thing I have found a little annoying, is a fast flickering on screen, mainly it seems when in a forest, no sun shining through, then you advance a little further, the sun shines through and the screen flickers really fast. Yet, if I step back or go forward a bit, it stops. Just as well I don't have epilepsy. The crashes whilst browsing the Inventory have only occurred since GOG updated my game yesterday, patch 1.03, which is supposed to stop cursor issues.
Combat is fantastic, especially when dodging and rolling about, never go head to head as blocking is a bit hit and miss. I have spent more time on contracts, going to all the question marks and treasure hunts to buff up my inventory, signs, etc, than playing the main missions. Also you need to listen to some of the villagers, as they can give you info, as I found out whilst doing the Baron mission. Some guy shouts at you and tells you about a monster in a cave near one of the villages. Touches like this make it an even more interesting game.
Off now to meet Keira and continue my adventure.:D

Same here. I'm desperate to get another deck set up. My northern realms deck is fairly good, but I want some hero cards and I saw an ability in the monster deck that seems crazy op

I think the northern Realms ability is quite op tbh. Save it til the end and most time you can guarantee the last round win if you time everything right.

To set up another deck, the easiest one is probably Nilfgard, as you get more good cards for that deck in Velen, especially through doing the Gwent quest.

I'm hoping to get a good monster deck so I can use muster, but I think scoi a tel is probably a safer bet. I didn't buy the cards from the white Orchard Innkeeper at the start of the game and am gutted since she disappears

30 hours in and only been in Novigard for a quick jaunt. Not been out of the first two areas. Not seen any other cities. Loving the side quests and exploring.

Novigrad is incredible. I have been saying for ages that I wish a game like this would have cities like the Assassin's Creed games, and this is the first one to do it, and it fits perfectly. It doesn't quiet have the personality of a city like Vizima for example, but I'm hoping there are more quests that involve the city as I go on.

Oxenfurt I found a bit meh tbh. Again, it is great in scale, but I haven'y had a reason to go there yet really.

Monster deck seems a bit OP. Was playing a woman at Crow's Perch and I beat her in the first round, she won the second as I passed to save cards as she had 2 left and I had 5. Last round she plays 1 card which pulls about 8 other cards from her discarded pile and gets up with a 40 strength melee row, then I play a few cards, then she plays her last card which is a morale boost :/ The ability to pull half a dozen cards at once from your discarded pile seems a little silly.

I think the issues with horse is we probably all try to control it like a car from GTA :D

I had to lower the difficulty for one section as I didn't have a near by previous save and had zero regen :(

When escorting the red Baron with the Botchlin, the 2nd set of Wraiths just raped me hard :(

guys, is there any way to move the bottom ui further towards the edge of the screen?

I can move the top UI, but the bottom UI seems to stay where it is.

I'm totally hooked on this title. It's odd because I only managed a few hours with Oblivion before I got bored and uninstalled it. Last night I sat down for an hour on Witcher 3, and... Holy mother of God, is that the time?! 6 hours just seemed to vanish. It's not many games that do that to me.
