The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Really love the effort that Joe puts into his videos, production quality puts most content creators to shame, however the price he pays for that is that it takes him 2 weeks to get a review out :)

But it was worth the wait had some proper lol moments

How do notice boards work? I took all the notices off the White Orchard board but I don't appear to have anything in my quests list for them, they do not appear to be in my inventory so that I can read them and there are no new markers on the map. I'm confused! lol

They are not all quests.

Apart from contracts and the occasional side-quest, I'd say they're there just pad out the game world a bit (make it seem more 'alive' so to speak). None of the adverts on the notice boards seem to amount to anything.

None of them appear to be quests for me.

They are not added to my quest list and they are not in my inventory either even though I took them off the notice board. Bug perhaps?

Hm, wierd. The ones with the wax seals are definitely quests. Some of the other notes can lead to locations being put on your map i think which could lead to more quests. At least that is how it has been working for me anyway.

Some are quests some are not, if you pick up a quest one it will add the quest.

Every time you revisit a notice board it will re populate with non quest notices

OK, looks like it may be a bug then as there was at least one with a wax seal but it did not add any quest after picking it up. Not to worry, I did most of White Orchard's ? locations and any random quests I encountered along the way. I went from it being a struggle to kill a Ghoul at level 1 to owning the Griffin at level 3 on my 2nd attempt (first attempt failed due to a weird bug where I could not use any signs or use my crossbow :( )

I should mention I am still only playing the basic game and have not applied any patches yet.

Is it just me or is the crossbow pointless? It seems to do so little damage i just havent bothered using it. even with upgraded bolts. Can you get a better one/ make it better in anyway?

also check the map before you take the notices, i find that the noticeboards sometimes add ? icons to the map so they are not just for quests

I have done all of the ? locations so perhaps it was one I didn't realise got added to my map. I kind of mopped up the ? locations last just before going on to fight the Griffin.

I found the giant bear at one of them hardest thing to kill in the game yet. Griffin was a piece of cake compared to that thing!! lol :D

Want a real challenge in White Orchid? Go find some cows, kill them all and meditate for 2-3 hours. ;)

I only find it useful against multiple flying enemies using the quick shot really, you get some Witcher Gear Crossbows you can craft at higher levels.

They're essential underwater, it's the only weapon you can use then.
