The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Looks like I will be going back to 347.88 which never crashed, even after 14 hours of play!

( Nvidia have stepped forward asking for input )

Sadly I can't do that as my 980Ti's won't be properly supported.

I think it's a mix of drivers and game patches. I never had issues until the DLC patch for armour and crossbows appeared.

Well since that crash, it's reset all of my graphical settings, it's jerky and it's doing less frame rates than it was doing before. So it's probably corrupted some of the files, such as all my saves!

15hours+ I played in sitting yesterday, today I update my nvidia drivers and it messes it all up.

EDIT : Now it wont even launch properly, just keeps minimizing itself back to desktop

RAGE!!!

I wonder if it's the latest DLC or the 1.05 patch doing it, I thought it was a driver problem but now starting to wonder as 1.04 was perfect.

Hmmmm at least it's not just me then

One bug I found is the game won't open if I have fraps running, I can open and run fraps fine once the game is already running though. Not entirely sure why.

I swear it's the game patches!

Those two silly .dlls ( dxgi.dll and d3d11.dll ) were also back in my bin/x64 folder and whenever they're there the game crashes on loads.

If you have SweetFX or similar, it'll happen because SweetFX hooks into the game, and Fraps, Dxtory and others also try to do the same. So they just crash.

So strange. I updated to 1.05 (after about 10 hours of flawless playing on 1.04, no crashes). I started the game to test it patched correctly - was fine, played for 10 minutes then had dinner. Then started it back up and bam Nvidia driver crash/game crashed to desktop as soon as the game world loaded. This happened twice in a row. I then verified/repaired the game using gog galaxy and then everything seems fine again - just played for an hour and half no problem.

Weird : /

I am using no mods, sweetfx, fraps or anything. Only the latest afterburner + OSD.

Certain scenes for me, usually in or around buildings are jerky with movement (sudden scene jumps on the Monitor), Irritating to no end and it seems to be the patch, as settings dont change it.

Yeh I get that!

I might stay on 1.03 or something, the XP bug problem was in 1.04?

Pah way to much *** going on lately :(

I've tried to use rivatuner to limit fps as its apparently better for frame's, seems to work but since I can't see the fps...seems to only affect gog client, I dunno.

Ima sleep and just ignore issues once I play again, pointless wasting time "fixing" things.

Whats the best way to heal in this game ? is eating and drinking the only way ? I seem to get a ahealth boost while eating chicken during a battle for example.

Also finding it quite tough, im on the lowest difficulty and don't know how to work potions, get better equipment, armor, swords etc

That skips the normal in-game cutscenes, but not the "previously in the game you were playing 14 seconds ago" one that plays every single time you load a game...

That might depend on how quickly your comp is loading it then as I can skip those?

I'm probably missing something

but when buying "diagrams" from blacksmiths - how do you know what level that sword/armour would be ? annoying to buy it and find you can't use it for another 10 levels anyway ?

thanks

I thought you deleted those earlier though? How did they get back in?

I haven't played since 1.05 hit so I plan to do so today and hope it will be smooth sailing as the game so far has been robust.
