The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Anyone had any luck removing the crossfire stuttering ? Been waiting to play through again and found the new drivers have fixed the stuttering and getting good usage from both cards but there's the terrible stuttering when moving the view. Basically makes it unplayable for me. I changed the mouse input but to no avail.

Have you tried this
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\base\gc.ini
Open that file
"; Number of threads the GC should be running on
NumThreads = 1"
Change 1 to 4
Save the file.

Also can you set the maximum pre-rendered frame to 1 in CCC? I know for NVIDIA that helps some users.

Found it on reddit, and it made a difference for me.
As always make a copy/backup of the file before changing anything.

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\config\base\gc.ini
Open that file
"; Number of threads the GC should be running on
NumThreads = 1"
Change 1 to 4
Save the file.

It's a config file for the asset streaming system of the game, it's set to only run on 1 CPU thread by default

Made no difference for me.

Don't know if I'm imagining it, but I think the game looks miles better for me now after the patch. Had a few bugs, and performance is ever so slightly worse, but it looks brilliant!

Agreed it does seem to look better, in fact really some of the scenery is stunning to run around. I tried the new movement scheme, but it's too 'fake' for my liking. I prefer the more natural although slower original movement.
Sadly tho I have had a couple of hard lockups, but regular saving means it's not causing any stress.

I lose it with those. No way the game should be doing that to any system.

I love the game and series to bits, but it's a darn shame the patch is all over the place. Some people get performance increases, other have new random bugs, performance drops, crashes, hard lockups, and a few even BSOD's.

Although it would be silly to expect a 7GB patch to be issue free, it's just in the extreme cases it's completely broken.

There's so much untapped awesomeness in this game, just by messing around in the configs people are getting amazing results.

Game completed. It's probably wasted every other game for me. Not since Skyrim has a game felt so epic and enjoyable.

Will start over on Death March... But I'll wait until the patches are polished.

Has anyone had a problem with saving? Last night it wouldn't let me save and I've probably lost about 20 mins play which is not too bad but it was a bloody hard fight that I'm going to have to do again. Never had this before the 1.07 patch.

Also, can you turn off the annoying messages you get about pinning stuff every time you go into the Alchemy tab (or is it just me)?

anyone else noticed an increase in load times since patch??

nothing drastic but i think they've increased somewhat.

Some people get infinite loading screens as a bug. :/

Yes, the saving thing is a known bug at the moment.

Also check your game settings, turning off Tutorial popups/messages should stop that.

While I love the book sorting , and not had any of the crashing or performance issue with the 1.0.7 patch it still a disapointment

For me the main thing is the Get Junior question is stilled buged/broken dispite "fix". I can't interact with the torch and if
I try and find Roach he just stands there and I can't talk to him

On a different note is there graphics mods or tweaks that DON'T use a shader injector as I relay hate them. I do have some GPU grunt to spare at 1440p.

No need for that, but put it in spoiler tags now.

The Skellige: Most wanted quest is bugged for me, won't complete / advance.

Also another well known bug of the patch. :(
The game might hopefully get a hotfix patch, or worst case we have to wait until patch 1.08.

Next week is also the very last DLC update. CDPR claims to be ending on a high note.

I've got one of the original i7 920 cpu's,, and 12gb of standard speed memory. To be honest it looks gorgeous in anyway, but will tweak it a bit more if you think a 970 can handle it :)

Before the latest patch I was getting consistent ~50fps @ 1080p on a single 970 (the overclocked Gigabyte mini-ITX version) with all settings on ultra except shadows and foliage view distance which were on high.

after the patch (and a monitor upgrade) I'm getting ~40fps @ 3440x1440 with almost everything on ultra on the same card (it dips to low 30s at points though, so I've locked it at 30fps) still completely smooth IMO, and looks absolutely stunning!

Thought I'd give people an update on all my problems since the new patch.
I can now put all settings up to ultra with hairworks on full at 1440 with a 980ti, what I did find though was my game now started to crash and hard lock the pc so nothing but a reset could fix it.
The one occasion I was able to minimise the game I saw the error code which was something along the lines of "Nvidia kernel etc..." this made me google the error and I found someone mentioning that he had went into Nvidia control panel and changed power management to max performance.

I tried this and yup no crashes so far and the game actually started quicker and loaded quicker than it's previously done and while gaming was smooth before I've noticed that in the tiny parts where it did stagger, it doesn't anymore.

Hopefully this helps someone and it wasn't just a one off for me.
