The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Loved the HOS expansion pack. Great story line done very well.

Only dislike was the rune merchant. So much gold that by the time you could really take advantage you were likely near the end of the game. A lot of those master runes also looked pretty great and would really mix up combat somewhat.

Been playing HOS the last couple of days, last played the full game 3 months ago. Just like Devious, seem to be dying a lot. Still a few glitches, killed a few wraiths and then Geralt starts jumping about, all on his own. Had to exit the game and restart, went back down in the cellar and could'nt open a chest, did'nt even show using the witcher sense. Tried moving towards the chest real slow, a loot sign popped up real quick and after 10 more attempts, I left it.
All in all, not enjoying this as much as I did a few months ago.

Yep, i installed 1.11 earlier on and have been playing some more today. Something about it is just different to how it was in the main campaign.

-Movement commands seem to lag and when surrounded by a load of enemies one ignored move is certain death.

-Geralt seems to get stunned way more than before. Or is that the lag again?

-Sometimes when facing an opponent Geralt will suddenly spin 180 to face another approaching opponent and then the first opponent will simply kill me from behind. I tried both standard and alternate controls and both keep doing this.

-My biggest issue is the Quen bubble. It used to always block damage and give back HP when being hit, now it only seem to do it 30% of the time. Most of the time the bubble caves in and i lose health as well. Whats the point of it? Every slot in my armor is Quen rune stones, and it sucks bad in HOS.

-Similar to Quen. Igni only seems to set humans on fire around 50% of the time where as it was guaranteed in the main campaign unless they had a shield.

Anybody else having these issues? I may try reinstalling.

It looks like I will have have to lower the difficulty, but it seems i am doing it just to beat the randomness of the game.

I only finished the main game a few weeks back and I'm not noticing any difference in the way this plays, igni is still setting people on fire no problem. Sorry, doesn't help but that's my experience.

Finished this last night, will probably have a break from games and then Fallout 4.

Not a fan of DLC usually but this one seems to be getting very good reviews.

Think I'm upto the last mission on the DLC now, will finish it tomorrow. Really enjoying it so far reminding me why I loved playing this.

I have mostly had a negative experience when it comes to DLC but have to have it to CDPR, they have managed to create a really interesting standalone story. I haven't finished it yet but there has been some nice originality and plenty of laughs so far.

Spoilers regarding the auction house

Cannot wait to hit level 39 so I can wear this viper gear. The viper swords were one of the coolest finds when you first start playing the Witcher, I really hope there is some sword upgrades too.

Started playing this recently, pop in and out of the game and just prefer to roam around doing random quests instead of following the story.

Ffs. Died about 5 times in the mission at Menge's place. Geralt putting his sword away in the middle of fights, the game suddenly deciding combat is over even though there are still soldiers firing crossbows at Geralt(so you can't block even if you try!), the camera nowhere near good enough for fights in close interiors. What a horrible quest!.. Think the same happened the first time I played it too.

Yeah looking forward to wearing this gear, shame there weren't sword plans to go with it.

Did you buy the glasses as well? Annoyingly I didn't think to buy anything other than the painting so had to reload to buy the other two items

Tahnx for that mate, never played any of the witcher series but this looks interesting just hoping my 1st rig can play it maxed out

This game gets better and better the deeper you get into it. I wasn't very impressed with it when I first started playing - thought I had another Skyrim on my hands (I tried but just couldn't get into Skyrim) but have been really blown away by it. I think I need to start doing more side missions and lay off the story for a while though. Don't want it to be over too too quickly!

Thought I'd get the dlc finished last night but had more too do then expected.

The whole going to meet Olgierd's wife was rather touching and reminded me of playing through the Bloody Barren quest line.

I actually felt more sadness for saying goodbye to Shani than I did Yennifer / Triss.

Yea I bought everything just in-case there was any quests that come from the additional items. The Glasses look really funny on Geralt :)
By the way I looked it up and there are both a new Steel/Silver Viper Swords :) I know how to get them now but I won't spoil that for you.
