Have you added the hi res texture pack, it makes a nice difference.

Thanks for pointing that out. Not that it looks poor, but can't always be better :) Finished the main story ages ago and couldn't really get into Hearts of Stone. Planning on starting Blood & Wine as my next game once I'm done with Dishonored 2.

Hearts of Stone is incredible. Like, one of the best stories put into a videogame incredible. You really need to give it try to get over whatever hang-up you had there and give it a second chance ;)

Dishonored 2 is also a masterpiece...I really hope Arkane are working on an expansion.

The bit at the party bored me and I lost interest.

I agree about D2, nearly finished my non-lethal Emily play through. After something else, for a break, I'll do a Corvo Mental-kill-everything play through, like I did for D1 :)

Had a really odd fps drop recently that seems to have stayed that way - trying to fix it.

Game has been running well up in the 50-60fps region pretty much everywhere for the last month of playing, even in much of novigrad. Yesterday in the Bits it tanked to around 25 and hasn't recovered no matter what settings I change or reduce - even waypointed out to random regions in Velen and fps stuck in the mid twenties... :(

Not sure what has caused this - any ideas?

Edit: weird - I just updated video card drivers and it's shot back up to 50-60. Odd when it had been working fine on the older drivers for the last month.

Hopefully it stays that way.

Yes you can replay new game plus 1 :)) , think of it as a hard core mode, its not that hard really.

and then u can finally kill them pesky guards

Yes you can, but more importantly, the stuff in the PoI markers is optional like bandit camps and monster nests, stuff like that. The really good stuff, quests, will still display on your map normally.

Thx guys.

If it's the first time you've got to Skellige there's plenty to go yet.

Yeh, only done a few bits in skellige, I'm still only level 22.

So I'm guessing i have a bit to go yet.

I keep wandering off getting side tracked though :p

Started playing this at the weekend, after trying 1 and 2 and not enjoying them at all, i have to say i am really enjoying 3!

up to level 9 now and crafting a few bits for future levels! enjoying the story, just need to master the combat a bit more!

Roll is your friend. Magic use is key, I've not found using oils as rewarding to be honest so rarely touch them. Put the difficulty to broken bones or what ever it's called. You'll soon learn the mechanics of fighting. Mind you, annoying fights like multiple enemies at once can be a pain and I sometimes lower the difficulty simply to save my self getting annoyed.

Aard or Igni. :)

Aard or Igni. :)

It all depends, I used to use Quen religiously until I got rolling down to a T. Now I only use it when fighting a bruiser that hits hard.

I use a blend of all of the signs to be honest. For example I use Yrden to slow things like wolf packs down or other enemies. Axii on bigger folk to give me the upper hand, hell, I somtimes use it amongst multiple bandits to get one fighting for me!

Igni is sort of handy in all situations, I use it from one of my adrenaline points just as a nice boost to damage and then my go to for most fights is Aard. It's powerful when you've put points into it and normally stops enemy packs getting the better of you and puts you back in control.

I'd strongly suggest getting the Rage Management perk, it allows your spells to be cast with your adrenaline points. I find sword fighting a bit tiresome after a while as you're only spamming 2 buttons and the adrenaline skills in sword fighting are a bit underwhelming. So I'm more of a Spell Sword class.

Experiment :)
