The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

I have a confession to make. I played the main campaign, then Hearts of Stone and then decided to have a break before starting Blood and Wine but... that was over a year ago and I just don't feel the compulsion to go back and play it. Does anybody want to talk me in to it? Do we get more Triss and/or Jennifer action?
Triss or Yenn appear at the end. Blood and Wine serves as Geralt's epilogue. Furthermore it is very self contained as it takes place exclusively in the gorgeous land of Toussaint. Some of the missions are hilarious too.

I mean it is amazingly atmospheric new location with beautiful soundtrack and brilliant sidequests, that serves as proper ending of the saga.
There might be something related to Geralt's loved ones but I think you should not want to spoil it for yourself. Whether it is there depends on what you did in the main game though.

Thanks for the responses guys, I think I'll pick it up once I'm finished with Vampyr (which has been awesome by the way).
I knew there was a decision to make in the main quest regarding Jen and Triss and deliberated for ages, never reaching a decision as to who my preference was for. Ultimately I must have missed my queue as I'm quite sure a burnt my bridges with both of them! To be fair, that was a ridiculously difficult choice for a man to make and I still don't know which one I would have chosen given the choice!

Most probably already know this but for some reason, probably because I never used it much, but Axii is quiet over powered. At lvl 4, using Axii on a lvl 16 and then walking up and killing him in one blow. And this on Deathmarch too.

I just found that out because I walked into a hostage situation, 2 lvl 14 with swords I was able to wear down and kill, the lvl 7's there was killed with bombs, then these two lvl 16 with shields I had more problem with so thought I Axii one and then try, first had problem since the second was in the way, but then got them separated and that's when I to my surprise realized I could one shoot them while they were under Axii influence. And yes, the camp was indeed a mixture with different levels. :p Oddly though both the lvl 16 and 18 had lvl 1/2 swords.

I started using Axii but couldn't understand why it would only stun some people instead of enslaving them. I thought it might be to do with enemy levels or something but it seemed totally random. Perhaps a bug? So in the end I scrapped it and went with Aard and Yrden mostly. It's a shame because one of the runewords means Axii slaves last longer and I love watching the AI fight each other.

Just had a quick look and seen it har to be upgraded to puppet for them to fight along side you. First level just stuns tjem. what level of axii do you have @ic1male ??

Installed this again with hd reworks mod. Determined to try and finish this game. Not cause I find it rubbish, just because I lost my 70 hour saves so I lost interest as my gaming time is limited. Want to finish it before cyberpunk. Currently in novigrad moping up side quests and the 40 odd question marks.

Gog before they had cloud saves. All fine now I started again early this year but gave up. Decided to get back into it yesterday and my 30 hour save is still there.

went back to this recently myself - the thing i dont like though is that nothing really compares to witcher gear, atleast nothing i have found.. all these relic swords look great but would be a downgrade from the witcher gear i have
same with the armours, theres some really nice looking ones but theyre useless

The Witcher Gear is the only one that gives you special powers so there really isn't any other choice. Although as there are 4 or 5 sets of Witcher gear you do have a little bit of decision as to what to wear according to how you want to play. I always go with Griffin myself.

Been playing the last few days still enjoying the game and I'm still on on novigrad moping up question marks, think I've done the majority of side quests. I am level 19 and can kill stuff quite easily in their early 20s. I am wearing enhanced Griffen gear which seems pretty good. I can leave for skellige but I'm trying to 100% the maps as when I finish this game I won't come back to it as my game time is limited and I won't ever get to play other games. Probably won't finish this game till Christmas.

I remember on my second playthrough installing v1 or v2 of this mod, great to see it's still being supported and would recommend people still playing to install it:

Tbh, it isn't really a case of completing an area before moving on. You can travel between areas as much as you like, and have to go to each area more than once. I'd mix it up a bit. Go to Skellige and so some stuff there, then come back.

Personally I would say the earlier you get to Skellige the better the story flows tbh.
