The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Think Novigrad will always remain the black horse when it comes to performance lol. Outside of the city the performance difference should be much better. I'll be using the Quality file too.

What mods are you all using?
So far I've installed:

No weight mod
Raytracing optimised
Fast travel from anywhere
Auto loot
Ultra gore
No fall damage
Added dlss version 2.5

DLSS, auto loot, auto oil, fast travel and no weight.

Mod menu doesn't work properly though so it's anybody's guess what works or doesn't

Also are people using vortex to install them or are they doing it manually?

I do them all manually because I had trouble using the mod managers in the past. Doing it manually you just download the files, unzip and paste to your witcher mods directory.

When I modded Witcher 3 in the past I used The Witcher 3 Mod Manager which worked fine.

Tempted to replay, however the performance issues are a little concerning. I read up it was an issue with only using 2 cores out of multiple causing heavy CPU bottlenecks. I'm running a 3090 & 9900k (5ghz all cores) at 4k with HDR. Sub 60 just isn't that enjoyable to me, so will there be more patches to fix these performance issues?

Checkout the screenshots above, multiple cores being used, even the E core on my 12700K.

We just don't know, it would take quite a bit of time and money to fix it properly I imagine.

To be honest I imagine putting all the effects and ray tracing etc on top of a 7 year old game was quite a task. That said it's running fine for me so a 3090 should have no problems

I installed a mod to change the way the you control Roach. Makes it a lot more enjoyable to ride and take in the views.

How do I kill the barons botchling? I tried the axii sign that makes it stunned but it still takes no damage from my sword

Edit: nvm I beat the wraiths and buried it

New discovery for mitigating microjudders - turn off HAGS (Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling) in Windows System/ Display/ Graphics settings!

Combined with limiting fps to 45 in RTSS it now feels much much smoother. Can't believe I forgot to try this until now as it's a fairly well known thing to try for troublesome micro judders in some games.

I'm not seeing any micro stutters since the patch.
