theHunter: Call of the Wild

it is one of the best looking games ever made scenic wise. if you can play at the high resolutions with all ultra on.

i just been recording at dusk. absolutely breathtaking. you can spend many hrs just roaming about.

i think it does help if you played the other theHunter game as you get the basic grasp of how to play but not a must . this game is easy to access that theHunter classic as its now known but can be still enough of a challenge. there are missions objectives also if you want to do that or you can just ignore that and just hunt.

reviews wont be many because you have to unlock stuff and it took quite a while at the start plus patches and things.

now back to hunting.:p doing long range shots with the .338 bushmaster and my new shiney scope.

Just bought game, when i place a waypoint on map, then come out of map, i dont see any waypoint on screen, also what is a Need Zone, when i get there i see nothing or can do nothing ? oh, and how you save, as keep crashing at the moment, and when i continue game each time, i have to start again,m why the hell games dont have manuals these days.

Sure need doesn't say feed? There are Rest, Feed Zones and Watering Holes.

Saving, not a clue. Apart from travelling to outposts I know it saves then.

Waypoints, I don't see 'em either. I can do it on the map, but no visual clue once back in game. Unless the update has addressed this. I'll try it now and edit.

Edit: No waypoints in the game HUD, compass, or phone..

Thought i'd try something different this afternoon, after getting two bears an elk and a coyote in less than a hundred metres of each other under a minute (All within a small bowl), i decided to put the rifle away, strap on the camera and make an attempt on the summit of Mt Kraken, unfortunately on the precarious Southern ridge maybe a 100m from the summit I slipped and fell to my death.
I wanted to get a shot of the sunset from the Summit, but it took longer than i anticipated, I still had a good few hundred metres when the sun went down, got a lovely view up there though, its tough going up there, literally had to run/jump the entire way, unfortunately it was the low light that became my undoing, I got too cocky I made a misjudgment of distance in the dark and i went for a ledge that was either just too small/far and paid the ultimate price.
I'm not done with that mountain though, i'm going to try the north eastern approach next.

forget the weigh point for now.just cancel it.what most do bring map up with is M and then just use compass in the direction you want to go.

you have to claim it.then you goto the door on the cabin and you select the time you want to rest for.if that time or option isnt available i would restart game and see after rejoining if the option to rest is then.

Thx, yes i been trying that, i can set any time i want, i then press rest but nothing happens, what do you mean if time not available, i can set any time.

It's very easy to lose hours in this game by doing very little, so it must be doing something right if time passes so fast.
I played the old one on and off for a year or two but I still find this far from being too easy, might be easy to shoot/kill an animal but for me it's a different matter when it comes to even finding the "Big Game" and that's how it should be.
They will never make it perfect and able to suit everyone because everyone has different opinions of what they should be able to kill and how often you should see an animal and how they should react.
They've done a pretty damn good job with the frequency of animals IMO and apart from a few minor tweaks I'd like to see, overall I'm happy.
Although I'm not too happy about the amount of time I will lose to this when I have loads of other jobs/things I should be doing. :D

Real shame you cant continue a game where you left off from thou, bit of a pain that.
You will always continue from the last outpost you visited.

@LEUVEN - Agree with you on the whole frequency of animals thing. It's fine as it is. However, I think they do need to tweak the length of time it takes for animals to return to an area after being spooked. Especially at need zones. I came across a group of 5 Fallow grazing. Picked out the best looking one and downed it from around 100m. Walked over and as I was checking out the trophy screen, I could hear the others returning. Kinda ridiculous, really.
