ooo - tempted to get this - I remember playing the original Hunter way way back in time in the beta stages etc - nice and relaxed, wandering around etc.

Might pick this up again.....

As soon as I stop moving, it drops back down. It's a natural animation, as well. Not a glitchy-looking snap.

I had something similar after I picked up the bow, the only way around it is to look through the rifle scope when you start up the game after which both the rifle and bow scopes work as they should. Otherwise it's almost like the rifle sight is where the bow sight would normally appear - away from your face.

Visibility can mean to either see or be seen. I read that as being that it decreases an animal's ability to see you, particularly since the skill itself is called "Stalker".

Doesn't work. It's not the same bug. The scope works perfectly fine, except when crouch-walking forwards, where the rifle is raised, as though aiming using iron-sights. I can still zoom in increments, as I would with the scope....not that I can see much.

Weirder still, I got the Rangemaster last night and there's no issue with that.
 
Are we meant to receive email alerts to this thread as soon as a new comment is posted ? i watch like 30+ threads and i dont seem to get email alerts for all of them, and when i do get a email alert, there random, anyone else have this problem ? i have checked my alert settings, and i am watching the threads and also chouse email alert to them, and in my watch thread list, i have a email next to each of them on the right of each watched thread.
 
I get them but only in threads that I'm watching and after I've visited when the notification is received. You only receive one watch update.

"This message was sent to you because you opted to watch the thread with email notification of new replies. You will not receive any further emails about this thread until you have read the new messages."

That's what is sent with each message regarding the thread watching.
 
The red deer really are beautiful creatures, spotted a huge stag the other night, absolutely massive rack, standing there proudly, unfortunately I was completely winchester and on route to an outpost to restock.
Another day buddy... another day.
on the other hand, In my last session just there I had small group of wild hogs in my sights (I had downed one, the other 3 were oblivious), and i was lining up my next victim when i heard a grunt from behind me, right enough about 20m away to my rear was a young male red, standing there, not particularly impressive but at that range it was easy money, neck shot severed the spine and dropped where it was standing.
 
So after the patch my .270 polymer rounds are mosre expensive and less effective, and tracking a wounded animal is now worse - the blimmin thing just disappears more often than not :(

But sneaking has been fixed, so yay :)
 
they made ammo more expensive but guns cheaper to purchase and callers.

so its more to do with not wasting shots.as ammo is pretty deer now.sorry for the pun :p

Mine stopped working since yesterday.
 
Just picked this up the other day. Haven't had much time with it yet, but is the game supposed to save your progress on quitting or does it save at certain checkpoints? (I can't find a save option anywhere and the game keeps putting me back to my initial starting point!)
