This is why people are losing respect for the police...

The film has been available to watch for ages, which makes todays arrest even more ridiculous.
Buy hey

***If you have an issue, take it up in FCD***

And these same people have now been seen attacking police offers with one to the back of the head  This forum sometimes, no wonder it gets a bad rep for too left leaning!

As I said before, the people who started it should be charged as well as the single policeman for trying to stamp on his head

So with this law anyone of us can be stopped, being under no suspicion of a crime, and ordered to allow access to all of our devices.

If we refuse to hand over the password, because we're not suspected of a crime, we'd be arrested and charged as a terrorist.

The law seems to be out of the Nazi playback. The police shouldn't be able to demand information when there is no suspicion of a crime.

It was the opposite, but the crackdown was so hard that the pendulum has swung to the hard left. Just look at SC, any post that so much as hints you support anything right of centre and you get a dozen replies from the triggered hard left shouting you down.

Eh ? There are barely any hard-left posters on these forums including SC. Most people in SC are centre-left as evidenced by the amount of noshing off the likes of Biden etc receive.

Can you name some of these hard left posters because they seem in very very short supply around here.

Beautifully put sir.

Sadly all the main UK parties seem to fully support some of these deeply undemocratic laws and once they're on the book there is always mission creep. Very few politicians ever seem to argue from a position of what should be first principles for the UK. It is always a relative argument about how X atrocity or Y atrocity could be stopped if only the incompetent state were allowed to interfere more.

You're only realising this now?

Bit late.

You have to presume these guys endure pretty frequent training / exercises to recertify for firearm carry which in turn include running through various stressful and high-adrenaline situations. If the guy was squirming about on the deck then a pop to side of the head or a kneel on the back may be appropriate. Downwards stomp on the back of the head flush to the ground? Nah.

I'm not begrudging a guy to get some extra hits in when you and pals have had a pommelling but surely you expect a higher degree of control and restraint if they're coppers.
This is fair.

Hindsight is great, the copper will know - however, they are also only human

One possible justification is that police officer had just been repeatedly punched in the back of the head. His judgement is likely to have been clouded and he may have been concussed. He may not even have fully understood that the thug had been incapacitated by the taser.
