When we lived in Nigeria my old man used to keep books with cut outs of all stupid stories concerning Nigerians. They used to be a good read and a good laugh and he eventually 'smuggled' them out. When we got back to England and he started to read British newspapers he got hold of his collection of stupid Nigerian stories and burnt them.
The reason? - he said of all the stupid things and violent things they do to each other, I have never heard of a Nigerian harming a child in a sexual manner but we whites seem to be experts at it.

Quite a thing to say is it not? It seems fair enough but i think you get sick people no matter what the colour of skin they have.

Of course you get sick people and there were some very sick Nigerians but it never involved children + sex.
Just an observation my Dad made after living in that country for 20 years +.

I guess they have more respect for children than we do over here then. We need some moral values over here. :(

On another note,would the average nigerian respect their elders? Like we see 14 year olds mugging pensioners and all sorts?

It is rear for such things to happen. There is a lot of respect for the elderly but that has been balanced on the other side by fraud - Yes majority of nigerians will attempt to fraud.

I heard about him years ago, when I still lived in Newcastle. I work with a lad from Liverpool, and we were talking about him a matter of days ago!

I'm suprise Purple Aki hasn't become a target for the local gangs of scousers armed with high powered air rifles - taking a few long range snipes ;)
 
We were warned about him in a school assembly. My dad was a copper in the area and had several run-ins with him, finding him stalking kids and intimidating them. We were all terrified, then we realised that we were at a girls' school so he probably wasn't that interested in us :p

He used to hang around Kenny a lot in the mid-90's iirc. One of my friends who lived there said that she used to see him from the window standing behind buildings watching the bus stops and then randomly following kids up and down the street, trying to touch them. Of course, we didn't believe her, we thought he was an urban legend, like peg-leg at colomendy :/

He is very definitely real and very definitely scary. One of my friends used to tease her little sister saying that he lived in the attic and if she didn't behave she'd go and let him out :eek:

Child's probably deranged now.
