I think I posted at the time something along the lines of "thats Pogba gone then" when he picked Rafeal and Park in the middle against Blackburn.

The silly thing is that even if he disliked the player, if he gave him enough games to get him to sign, then he becomes a very sellable asset rather than letting him walk for free. They needed central midfielders for the past 4 years. Cleverley got injured and Anderson was rubbish anyway, play him even if he is a ****(I've seen absolutely no indication he is), get him to sign a new contract. Let him get a season under his belt so people are interested then sell him for whatever you can get 5mil is still 5mil more than they got, if it was something absurd like a 60mil to Real deal, then they get 60mil.

This is why the whole thing is bizarre, if he was a disruptive influence, play him enough to turn him into an asset they can sell. If he was great, play him and see how great, if he was rubbish then he still should have got a reasonable shot to show this one way or the other. Plenty of other poor players got a chance. I still can't believe based on how Pogba was playing from September through December, that he wasn't looking very good a year earlier.

My guess is Pogba also banged Moyes daughter, with Moyes and Fergie being such good friends, Moyes asked Fergie to not play Pogba either.

I know, I know, but you can almost guarantee that the club see him as Cabaye's replacement. Replace YoCabs and Ba and I'll be less likely to wanna slit my wrists when the season starts.

There's a decent chance that you could buy Ba back... Depending on what strikers come in, and whether or not Lukaku is sold, Ba could be on his way out from Chelsea.

This is good, we can't go much higher than £27m though.

More reports in Italy that we're trying to sign Sanchez now, too. Would love that.

Question is would you pick Sanchez for €25m or de maria for nearly double that (from what Ive read Sanchez got a really good tally of goals and assists, but de maria probably affected more games although with much fewer goals to his name).

Both appear to be available, personally I would go for Sanchez even for €30-35m for the direct foal threat

Both have a penchant for diving a lot, though both are also happy to run at defenders and ride tackles. Some players never try to beat the man and always go down. Sanchez is faster and stronger, he's probably the better player overall. Hard to call as like many players at Barca they really didn't play to his strengths as the team was always about playing for Messi to be at his best. Sanchez with more consistent games would likely improve his form further.

They aren't very similar players though, Sanchez is more of a goal scorer/wide striker, Di Maria is more of a real winger/play maker getting not many goals but a bunch of assists. With who Utd have currently you need more runners who can get in to the box and score than those who can make the passes. Rooney doesn't attack the box like he should these days leaving RVP as the main target, Mata isn't one for getting on the end of crosses or speeding to tap in at the far post. I would say Sanchez would be a better buy as he's most different to your number 10 types who can drop a little deeper, wider and provide those crosses. You need another guy to get into the box and score.

You could also comfortably play Sanchez upfront as a striker, while I wouldn't with Di Maria.

Didn't Mourinho say he wanted him to stay for at least another season? Extremely unlikely regardless. Ba is motivated by money and there's no way we'd be able to match his wages at Chelsea.

How much he scares small horses is irrelevant.

BOL

They may not be similar players, but its also unlikely LvG will attempt to buy both this summer ( neither of which are likely to be given out and out striker roles, as Utd need wide players much more urgently)

Sanchez isn't as good as everyone thought he would be. He's like joaquim now too slow.

He's been mostly excellent, except for his diving. The issue as is so often the case, is not playing enough games makes his stats look less good.

he got 12 goals and 5 assists in the league first season, but that was only in 20 starts, and only 46 shots.

Again 8 goals 9 assists in the league doesn't stand out as brilliant, till you see it was only 18 starts in the league, another 11 sub appearances but that's only a few extra games in reality and he's a player who was also subbed off a lot. Again only 32 shots for those 8 goals is very good.

This season it's 19 goals and 10 assists, great return no matter the games but still only 27 starts there, and 19 goals with 66 shots is very very good.

He's been MUCH better than people suggest, just hasn't had a huge amount of playing time. The only season he's started really consistently he's been much better. Not a huge coincidence either, Messi missed a couple months, Sanchez played wide right with consistent starts and was great.
