If Pogba goes for £64m...
If Pogba goes for £64m...
If only Utd had kept him and got rid of Welbeck, if only........
It wasn't a case of keeping him at United, he was out of contract and wanted to leave.
Yes there was the situation of him being ****ed off at not being given guarantees of playing time but when has United ever bowed down to kids that make demands?
I think SAF got this one wrong (not the gaurenteed playing time but playing him so few times before the situation arose in the first place)
Yes the Italian league is a lot slower in general than the EPL, but ever since the beginning of last season he looked a quality player over there.
Teh one thing SAF did get right about him is he has always come across as a little too big for his boots (for this stage of his career) and he was very much like that at Utd too.
Yeah I agree completely but I would prefer it like this that be held over a barrel becasue he wants more money/playing time, you go down that route and it's a rocky road.
He should have been given lots of opportunities but if he has the attitude of "I should be guaranteed playing time" then he can do one.
From what I heard he was annoyed that Scholes came out of retirement and basically took the place promised to him.
Exactly
LOL
PS only came out of retirement for 1/2 a season didnt he? It wasnt a year and a half was it? (Unless Im mis-remembering Pogba had already left for Italy before PS 1/2 season off before coming out of retirement). So while its funny I cant see how that could have worked.
Inter chase £20m Torres
Inter Milan are targeting Chelsea striker Fernando Torres in a £20 million deal. The Spaniard has two years left on his £150,000 per week deal and could join Nemanja Vidic at the San Siro.

Inter to swoop for Torres: According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea striker Fernando Torres could be set for a sensational summer switch to the Serie A, with Inter Milan keen on securing the Spaniard’s signature. It is reported that the Italian giants are prepared to pay Chelsea’s £20 million asking price and will cough up the cash in order to bring Torres to the San Siro. The 29-year-old, who joined the Blues from Liverpool in a sensational £50m move, has just over two years remaining on his current £150,000-a-week contract at Stamford Bridge, but, with Jose Mourinho keen on a big summer overhaul, he could be forced out of the London club.
Paper round’s view: Torres could well be on his way out of Stamford Bridge, but only if Jose Mourinho’s side recuperate a large proportion of the whopping fee they paid for the Spaniard as they must keep within UEFA’s Financial Fair Play restrictions. The Chelsea boss has been linked with summer moves for Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa, Monaco’s Radamel Falcao and former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli, so would need to offload Torres before acquiring any of those big names.
Milan target Diego Costa as Balotelli replacement
AC Milan have made Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa their top target to replace Mario Balotelli, who could leave San Siro this summer, but the transfer fee could prove to be a stumbling block.

£30m for both of them would be pretty good. Sadly the Express aren't remotely reliable.
Shaw alone is going to cost that much.
Manchester United manager David Moyes has, for a long period of time, been an admirer of the 24-year-old and has watched the midfielder on two separate occasions this season - the most recent example being the 2-0 win over Arsenal in the Champions League with Kroos scoring the opening goal.
The Germany international’s contract is due to expire at the Allianz Arena in the summer of 2015, but the Bavarian club are stalling on agreeing a new deal due to the player’s wage demands which are “through the roof”, according to Bayern president Franz Beckenbauer.
And during the press conference before Bayern's return last-16 tie against Arsenal, Kroos confirmed that if he does leave Bayern then he would consider a move to the Premier League.
"No decision has been made. It is no secret that the Premier League is a possibility for me," said Kroos when probed on his future.
Furthermore, Kroos claimed that he would not rule out a move to a non-Champions League club, reports former footballer-turned-journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft.
