Upto 48m euros and an additional two players for vidal, at this point bite their hand off Woodward even if that makes the deal worth 65-70m euros (one definite player is Chircharito who must be worth 12m euros alone, but wonder who else they would want).

Probably undervalueing both players but he is so essential it doesnt matter at this point

Marcos Rojo has handed in a transfer request it seems!

Sky Sports sources understand that Sporting Lisbon defender Marcos Rojo has handed in a transfer request and told the club that he wants to join Manchester United. The Argentina international has previously been linked with a move to Southampton but reports coming out of Portugal this morning suggested that United had entered the race for his signature.

Not convinced there's anything in this (though Juventus do seem to be keen on Hernandez).

Whatever it takes though, I agree.

Have you seen any proof that his agent stayed in england after the community shield on sunday ?

Ive seen a lot of rumours he was talking to Utd sunday evening / yesterday in regards to how to get the deal completed but havent seen any real proof.

No proof, but Henriquez has just joined Dinamo Zagreb on loan, so it's entirely possible he was in Manchester/whatever for that, and obviously he might have just been watching Sanchez for Arsenal.

Hadnt heard that Henriquez shared the same agent as Sanchez/Vidal - but this would make sense.

Interesting about Rojo - he hadn't flagged on my radar as being any good but thinking about it he could be a good fit. Nice age as well. Old enough to have gained some experience but still for a defender time to enter his prime.

Could go CB or LWB. I think wide CB of a 3 would suit him. Not sure a LWB he'd be great but he could definitely do a job.

Man Utd to bid £29m for Hummels

Manchester United are readying a £29 million bid for in-demand Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels. The World Cup winner was named captain for the forthcoming season but United feel they can prise him from Germany.

These Hummels rumours are getting ridiculous now. How many times do we need Klopp to say he's not leaving.

All of the United rumours are getting ridiculous now. It's as bad as when we were being linked with every player under the sun. Now the same players seem to be linked every so often, then things go quiet, then rumours start back up again. It just gives the impression that the football writers haven't got a clue what's going on but don't really have anything else to write about.

Hummels (and Reus) arent going to go anywhere before next summer imo if for no other reason than just being made Captain and vice-Captain at a club they are both very happy at.

Ben Smith - BBC Sport.

Liverpool have agreed a £12m fee with Sevilla for left-back Alberto Moreno.
The 22-year-old Spain international has been withdrawn from tonight's Uefa Super Cup match and is expected on Merseyside for a medical later in the week.

I'll definitely take that for £12m :D

Ian Ayre has done very well this window. Ed Woodward could learn a thing or two ;)

If Woodward wanted the players you signed then we'd have got them all just as quickly, probably.

If (and it is a big if) we're trying to buy these elite players then it's much more complicated.
