He doesn't support Arsenal, he's saying "we" because he's having a trial there don't you know ;)

Sanogo is woeful, Sanchez isn't a lone striker, neither is Walcott, Podolski is the closest to possibly being good in that role but it doesn't really suit his game and Campbell none of us have really seen upfront.

However he did that thing where he looked really sharp in preseason, great in the world cup, looked decent last season so of course... Wenger barely used him and instead chose Cazorla at left wing where he was literally horrendous.

Wenger's usual thing of one player being good in a position, one being very very bad there... Wenger chooses whoever he likes the most rather than the most appropriate player.

WE should be selling Cazorla, having Campbell/Pod for wide left and buying a first choice striker, but that should have been the plan all summer and clearly isn't what Wenger intends.

I do support Arsenal, huh? :confused:Very confused tbh.

My point about having several strikers that can be played still stands, whichever formation Wenger wants to do..

Not really, they have 25 +players, they can choose to put any player up front, if they'd be good there or not is what matters. Sanchez, Walcott, Sanogo will NOT be good upfront, Campbell is questionable if he'd be good upfront, Costa Rica's lone striker looked frequently poor but campbell still played mostly on the wing because that's where he was effective...

The only players we have whose favoured position is as a central striker are Giroud and Sanogo, one is limited, one is simply awful.

Ramsey is more likely to do better upfront on his own than everyone you listed.

Surprising, since all you bang on about is Wenger not giving the younger guys a shot and playing Sanchez up front.

Zaha going back to Palace, probably on loan.

Was pretty obvious he wasnt going to make it at Utd, always had a feeling he was going to be a flash in the pan rather than a consistant performer

Hopefully shouldnt lose too much money as the loan will probably end in a permanent transfer next summer

How much will a suitor (probably Crystal Palace) pay, considering he'll probably be on decent wages? Or how much of the transfer fee you receive be wiped out by having to subsidise his wages? Obviously he won't be on megabucks in the grand scheme of things, but compared to what a relegation candidate club would be willing to pay he'll be on a good whack I would have thought.

Seeing as he is a kid and he was signed in the Jan before the new TV deal came in, never made an EPL start for Utd (as far as I can remember anyway) - I highly doubt his wages will be that different from what CP will have to pay to new players now the TV deal HAS kicked in.

£7-10m I would have thought would be reasonable

You can always have him in your squad next season if he does well, i wouldn't put an agreed price in the loan contract at all.

Obviously they can, but that will be a pretty high earner at a relegation candidate club. Does Zaha deserve that, as it stands?

I don't know really. What I do know is that Steve Parish is a massive Zaha fan so probably thinks he does, yes.

We've not really played Zaha enough to harm his reputation, so far.

But he knows he'll has Manyoo over a barrel/will be able to take the **** :p.

The fact he hasn't played, given how good (or bad!) your wingers have been says it all, no?

Well it'll most likely just be a loan, so it's nothing unusual...

I've seen a lot of stuff about why he hasn't played, it's all a bit odd. I still think he's fairly highly rated as a prospect.

My replies have been to do with Frank talking about a potential sale.

I can't see prospect who couldn't get a game as a winger for Manyoo, given their winger situation, being paid close to the top earners at a relegation candidate club. Especially on top of a decent transfer fee.

And unless people are prepared to pay what he's worth, they'll have to make do with him on loan. The few times he's played for us he's hardly looked awful, but his attitude in training etc is perhaps questionable, but Palace will know all about that first hand.

If the rumours about Moyes not playing him for whatever reason were true, then it would explain why he didn't get much of a chance. Secondly, there's not really a place for him in the 3-5-2 system, he was subbed on as a striker and looked okay in pre-season, but that was it. LvG said he'd only get chances to play as a striker, it's that or wing back, and not all wingers can play wing back.

And if it's on loan the club probably lose money in terms of his wages or that year's chunk of his transfer fee. It's not as though someone's going to pay £35k/week + a £2m fee, or anywhere near that, as it stands.

A full season as a first team player in the Premier League would be worth that cost to us, it'll help him develop and we'll be able to see if he's any good.

The rumours about Moyes' daughter? Or have there been more believable ones? Playing and doing okay in preseason is bordering on meaningless - the team as a whole did reasonably in preseason, but that hasn't translated well to the reality of the Premier League.

But he's never really had a chance in a first team game for Man Utd, so he can't really be judged by fans at least.

He wasn't great at Cardiff, but that was a very dysfunctional team.

That's purely based on what Moyes thought of him in training. Moyes played all of our players on their past merits, so he was never going to displace the immortal Antonio Valencia, or future England top scorer Danny Welbeck. :p

I'm not saying he's good, he might not be, I can't honestly say how good he is because he's barely played for us in a 'meaningful' game.

Anyway, Palace are interested in him, on loan or otherwise, so...

"I bought Sanchez to be a striker" in response to the Arsenal striker shortage with Giroud out until the new year.

Whelp, 4th place battle here we come.
