Oh Hi Daveymo22!

There is a difference with stockpiling players you don't need and buying exactly what you do need when your squad is not of a standard it should be. But you know that but can't get over the fact we sacked Moyes because he was **** :)

Of course I am over it and have said many times since the end of the season. I liked the guy and wanted him to succeed, he failed and got the sack. So what. So now I can't bring up any of the glaring mistakes being made now and that means I am bitter about moyes?

It's 12-15m including wages according to most sources.

Really? All I've seen is talk of the loan fee being anywhere between £6m and £9m. He's earning £8-10m net at Monaco which would cost Utd upwards of £15m to match. Would he really have taken that much of a pay cut?

sorted

SSN reporting that we (Everton) might be in for Nastasic.

Good signing if that happens, specialy after saturday :(

Again I would love that to happen. If we carry on defending like we have recently we would have to loan Ronaldo and Messi to score enough for a top 8 place :(

My educated guess is based on nothing, just a gut feeling. Just an odd sense that I cant put my finger on. Everyone has gut feelings about stuff in life. Anyway, I am not conversing with you any further.

I defer to your clearly superior knowledge on all things in life Drunkenmaster, I bow to your divine omnipotence. You are perfect, correct in everything and you have firmly highlighted with laser-guided like accuracy how ridiculous my words are. Your incredible encyclopaedic knowledge and infallibility will take you right to the top in life and you will stride above us mere ordinary humans like a leviathan. For me to attempt to talk further to such incredible intellect would be no more than the chitterings of an ant, so I shall spare us both the time.

Once again, gut feelings are based off something. Otherwise I can say, I have a gut feeling that a potatoes will randomly start exploding today, based off precisely nothing just a "feeling".

I think Messi would be crap in the premier league... it's not based off anything, I just said it for the sake of saying it. You think if I stated that no one would ask me what gave me that impression?

I asked a simple question and you've gone ultra defensive and going off on bizarre rants about me being perfect(thank you btw, that was sweet of you to recognise that) and one about stats(the classic, in lieu of a real argument I'll throw stats in DM's face ).

I'm not saying you have to be right or wrong about if he'd do well here, or that I'm right, it was a simple question. To make a statement like you did has to require seeing him play and something causing you to think that. You might not know precisely what it was, you might have that idea in your head and didn't question it but when asked you think about how he plays and can pick it out... but instead of doing that you just went really weird and offensive about it.

Falcao is a gamble but them so was RVP and look how that turned out.

Fair play to Woodward

Hope Arsene is at least out of bed this morning. If he is planning on Sonogoals as our main ST we are in trouble.

Do you mean that in a good way or bad way? At the end if this season we will have paid 24 mill plus another 30 mill in wages so 54 million for someone who will have almost zero value and only played well for 3/4 of a season?

A loan move would be fine as long as other things happen. If this is it for today then oh dear :(

To be fair, we shouldn't be in too dire straights after the international break. We have Shaw, Rafael and Rojo to come into defence and with Herrera back we should be much better in the middle.

We can then wait till January to throw money at Roma for Strootman.

If we can actually start scoring goals freely then teams won't be able to push up so high against us as we will punish them. At the moment the midfield / defence is so slow / **** that teams know exactly how to nullify our attack by pressing Fletcher and the defence.

It comes across that way yeah.

I rarely see you post anything other than pointing out where Man Utd have gone wrong or are going wrong.

Van Gaal getting more time and if only Davey Moyes had got more time blah blah.

Continue, it's all good :)

Still not confident with any of our central defenders (Jones looks completely headless in a lot of defensive situations even against smaller teams), not sure about Rojo, but Utd desperately need a CB of real quality (rather than just promise)

Yes the full back situation should improve things and Herrera being in the centre will as well but Utd need a really strong tackler which we currently dont have. Not sure about De Jong, but if that happens thats a reasonable stop gap (still not keen on him though).

Falcao is a bonkers move, even if rvp is out for the season, but MIGHT just give Utd a chance of being ahead of Liverpool and Arsenal in mid may.

Even in three months I just cant see the defence working with three CB that we have now and Shaw/Raf as flying full backs

What a crazy day and it's not even lunchtime yet.

If Blind settles (and it's of course an if) then we'll look better at the back, defensively and bringing the ball out.

Makes you wonder if we've got anything else lined up!

Falcao 9 - just wow.

This gif, old as it is, perfectly sums up us United fans reactions, going from hearing we're interested, to finding out we're paying 65million euros to being told it's just a loan and it's a done deal

Do you have trouble reading?

RvP may be out long term, Hernandez is going out on loan, possibly Welbeck as well.

Rooney would be our only striker.

The way I see it Falcao's a very good signing for Man Utd for just these reasons - although I'd have prioritised getting a decent defensive midfielder first - but maybe LVG has something up his sleeve for later today!

Defender-wise, assuming Rojo's work permit problem is sorted, he and Blind should be a huge improvement over Smalling/Jones/Evans!

Been a pretty productive transfer window for Utd, Blind, Rojo, Falcao, Shaw, Herrera, ADM. Pretty good.

Wenger, pull your finger out and sign someone. Wouldn't mind Defoe for a few million. Could score a truck load for us..
