***TWO VERY SPECIAL MONITORS: HAZRO HZ27 Series!**

To me it sounds more and more like the Hazro 27" use second graded panels which didnt make the cut for U2711.

Still if you want a large display with good resolution this is a good choice but for anyone who have high demands probably would be better without it.

The U2711 panels have anti-glare coating direct from LG, so i doubt this is possible. Apple on the other hand is more possible, or maybe some other way. I think i posted before it was even out suggesting that Harzo are probably getting these panels through unusual avenues because their stock levels always seem to be tiny.

Well I like mine and it's definitely a step up from my HP ZR24w not just in size but also in all areas.

Sure I have some dead or stuck pixels or it could just be dust like the rest of you thought maybe not as bad as some people have got but it don't bother me much as I can't really see them in normal everyday use.

I can see how the screen glass can be real problem but somehow the glass also brings out the colors and graphics out on the screen if you know what I mean.

What are the number of monitors sold to faulty?

Mine has no dust no dead pixels, just a really sharp screen for the price.

Sorry if this sounds rude to all the poor peeps with issues but felt I should post to balance things out that not all our bad.

PS I do agree that the quality of these monitors does appear bad however how many people like me have registered just to say mines ok, not many I bet.

I think I have to agree with this. After all, the IQ of the screen is comparable to the Apple Cinema Display. As soon as you get used to the reflective glass panel at the front, you'll start to appreciate how vibrant it makes the screen.

Stuck sub-pixels are annoying but I'm not even sure the two I have would be covered by Dell's Premium Pixel Warranty. That leads me to believe the panels themselves aren't inferior quality-wise (at least not by much). It's the glass front that was assembled in rather harsh conditions as the number of complaining users is surely large enough to warrant accusations of low QC.

I think Hazro should take appropriate actions to prevent future problems with fitting glass and try and solve the problems of current monitors by taking them back and cleaning up the panels behind glass.

A very annoying thing is that OcUK decided to charge the premium before these monitors were sold out - a thing that would normally happen considering superior quality of the monitors at this price range. It is clearly not the case and I'm gutted that we've been charged £30-40 more than the initial pricing was supposed to be. For that premium, one would expect almost perfect monitors with all the drawbacks that HZ27's already have anyway.

That's the point, you registered to say that yours is ok but how many of the long-term users who purchased these monitors complain? Most.

When does your work experience at Ocuk finish?

How does this compare to a NEC MultiSync LCD20WGX2 20.1inch as that's what I have at the moment? Mine has a gloss screen which I like but it not a glass screen is there much difference?

I've yet to spot a true dead pixel on mine. There are a few bits of dust behind the glass though, although I only notice them when looking for them.

The biggest letdown for me is actually the stand! Overall I'm very happy. Going to keep using it for a few more days before finally making up my mind whether to keep it.

Hi guys.

I think I have just discovered something.

I have just noticed that according to NVIDIA Control Panel, the Hazro HZ27WC does not support HDCP but this can't be right as acording to the screen
description on OcUK, HDCP is supported and I have also noticed the change resolution option in the NVIDIA Control Panel is completely empty and the
scaling options in the NVIDIA Control Panel don't work .:(

I have also tried removing then reinstalling the latest NVIDIA official graphics drivers but gives the same result.

Has anyone else notced this and have the same problem? and is this because the NVIDIA drivers do not yet support this screen or an incompatibility
with windows built in monitor drivers?

If this screen really does support HDCP and it is just an software incompatibilitay, will Hazro release a fix for this, a proper monitor driver if
that's the problem or etc?

I`m not going to be very happy if it does not actually support HDCP.

It seems that the built in monitor drivers in Windows definitely doesn't support this screen as Generic PnP Monitor driver that is used when you connect this screen has all the wrong information.

Warning 318 : A larger monitor/panel is recommended for this video mode. Consider reducing the resolution.
Tip 2 : Double-click tip or press Enter while a tip is selected for more information about the tip.

Is this a driver incompatibility that is causing what I said in my other post above this one?

Hazro are you gonna fix this problem?

Also if you try and select a lower resolution for the desktop or when gaming you get a small screen with big black borders all the way round and this is probably because the scaling options in the NVIDIA Control Panel don't seem to be working.

Could someone please respond to my comments in my above posts to let me know whether they are getting the same problem or not?

If its not a software incompatibilitay and it's a graphics card compatibility, then it's the first time I have ever heard of this, ether that or I got a dud screen.

Thank You!

have you tried playing any HDCP protected content at all? just wondering whether the software is just reporting it wrong and it does actually work?

You still want one?

Why would someone still not one?

The ones I've seen with dust on them would not put me off in the slightest if it was my own hard-earned money, because the dust and odd dead pixel on this kind of monitor I simply cannot see as the pixels are so small and dust even smaller.

So yes I'd happily buy one and be happy with my purchase even if it did have dust and the odd dead pixel because you can only see them when you actually look for them.

Yes Hazro could have made the design so the glass could be removed so it can be wiped, which could help with dust issues but overall its a 27" IPS 2560x1440 resolution for a little over £400. :)

Well, it is MY hard earned money and at ~£530, the 'A' model is hardly cheap. And I for one do notice the duff pixels and dust.

Just because it is ~£150 cheaper than the Dell does not mean we can excuse mistakes that really could have been avoided (dust!).
